Description of the Old Orchard Beach vacation apartment rental
The Beach Bungalow is ideal for a family of four or perfect as a romantic getaway. It is a spacious and relaxing space. Private outdoor living includes a covered patio porch with 4 Adirondack chairs and a gas grill. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and you can enjoy the energy-balancing, perennial flower gardens. Large front and back lawns provide non-beach play and relaxation areas as well. Garage storage provided.
Just cross the street and you have access to the beach only 75 yards away! Enjoy 7 miles of pristine, wide, white sandy beach perfect for relaxing, swimming or walking. The Beach Bungalow is at one of the calmer, quieter sections of the beach. This beautiful vacation area has been a favorite with families for many years.
Area Information
White water rafting, hiking, fishing, and mountain biking are great outdoor day-trip ideas. Northern Maine rivers and lakes, the Maine shoreline, and the Eastern Bike Trail are all in the area.
Locally in Old Orchard Beach, whatever you wish to do can be found in the area. Within walking distance or a short bike ride or drive away are:
-Amusement and water parks
-Movie theaters
-Play houses
-Shopping malls and outlet shopping
-Fine restaurants or fast food
-Golf courses
-College and minor league baseball
-Activities such as bird watching, kayaking, surfing, fishing onshore or offshore, playing tennis, biking, walking or hiking to mention a few things.
The list of things to do in the area is endless. You can do as much or as little as you like. The choice is yours!

Who would go to a beach house in Maine in February? We did. Four daughters helping their 80 year old mom celebrate her birthday. Mom was so happy!! Every little detail was thought of - and the house is HUGE! The beds were so comfortable, the shower's pressure and heat were perfect. Dishes, towels, blankets, soaps, even moisturizing conditioner was available to us. We were even awarded our own garage so when the snowflakes fell- no time spent on clearing the car. The upstairs property managers were very kind and caring too. We can't say enough about what a sparkling clean and comfortable home this was. Thank you for an 80th birthday that won't be forgotten.

Three of us stayed at the beach bungalow in Maine for the weekend. Two of us came from NY. The owners and the couple staying upstairs were so nice to us. The place is beautiful and I give my full recommendation to anyone looking for a place to stay while in Maine. This is a place I would jump at to stay again.

Communications for the reservation were very easy. When we arrived on the friday night, we instantly fell in love with the place. Big wide open spaces, nice and cosy atmosphere, you just feel like being on vacation there. We stayed a whole week and we were very happy with this place.The beach is very close and the cottage is perfect, so this is the to stay!

We stayed at the Beach Bungalow for a week in July and we had such a great time! The weather was great - very hot and we were so greatful to have a place to stay so close to the beach! The bungalow is so big, bright, clean and nicely decorated (and air conditioned!!). We've stayed in many houses over the years and the bungalow is one of our favorites! Three members of our family rented the Beach Bungalow for a short stay in Old Orchard. The proprietor welcomed us and took great care to make us feel at home. The appartement is comfortable and well equiped. The place is quiet and near the beach. We had a wonderful time and look forward to return next year. Nous avons connu une belle période de repos dans ce logement qui est merveilleusement bien situé et très confortable. L'accueil de Lori a été impeccable et nous l'en remercions. Quiet, peaceful and close to Maine tourist spots

We stayed here during July of 2010 for a week's vacation. The condo is actually nicer than the pictures would have you believe. Lori has though of everything in advance so all you have to do is show up, change into your swim suit and start enjoying your OOB vacation. Sheila's Market is seconds away by foot and has all the essentials for food and drink including ready-made sandwiches if you don't feel like cooking or going into town for lunch. The beach is across the street and is easily accessed by foot. We brought a wagon along to haul all our gear, but forgot beach chairs. Not to worry, Lori had extra chairs, an umbrella and even boogie boards for us to use stored in our private garage stall at the condo. The beach is over seven miles long and groomed daily by the city of OOB. At low tide it is easily 100 yards from the dunes to the water. Even at high tide you have a couple of hundred of sand available to you. Since you're a little walk from the pier the beach is far from crowded making it easy to spread out without bumping into other beachgoers. The pier is an easy twenty minute walk from the condo and has an old-time amusement park, pizza shops and the usual assortment of t-shirt/junk shops to fulfill all your last minute gift needs. We visited LL Bean, Cabela's, Kittery, Kennebunkport, four different lighthouses and never drove more than 35 minutes to get to any spot. You are very centrally located at the Beach Bungalow. This Is The Cleanest Place I Have Ever Rented. The Bugalow Is Decorated To Perfection And Very, Very Comfortable. My Daughter And I Just Got Back From Our Vacation From Maine And Had The Time Of Our Life. The Owner Takes Care To Add Personal Touches To Her Rental And It Really Shows!!! :) I Would Love To Come Back Sometime. Old Orchard Beach Is A Beautiful Laid Back Community. The Bungalow Is Conviently Located Between The Pier And The Lobster Co-op (where Bailey's Is Located) And I Took Advantage Of That By Purchasing Fresh, Steamed Maine Lobster...yum! :)
