Description of the Old San Juan vacation apartment rental
Try maps for this address at Sol street #312 in Old San Juan Puerto Rico. It is located on one of the best scenery and secure streets of the old city. Located near by Hotel “El Convento” which was once a convent. It is one of only a hand full of homes on this famous street whose fascade and balconies remain the same as it was in the beginning of the last century. The property is located directly in front of the Atlantic ocean and closed to San Juan bay. All ships entering and leaving the harbor can be seen from the apartment balcony. There are 2 apartments on the first floor and one large apartment on the second floor. The property is situated near by the San Juan Cathedral, restaurants, galleries, museums and fortress El Morro and San Cristobal. Fortress El Morro is a popular place for walking , jogging and kite flying. Beach is 10 minutes from apartment. The entrance to “El Morro” national park is at the end of Norzagaray street, just across Sol street . The Plaza de las Armas, located near City Hall, is four blocks from the property and has a grocery store, and several fast food chains as well as a shopping stores. The governor’s mansion known as the “La Fortaleza” is also is located walking distance from the apartment.
San Juan Gate, one of the original entrances to the Old City , is now the entrance to the popular harbor walkways known as “Paseo de la La Princesa” to the west and “Paseo del Morro” to the east which is maintained by the U.S. National Park Service just below the fortified walls of the city. Walking south from Sol street leads to the area of the cruise ships and the Sheraton Hotel and Casino which is about a 10 minute walk distance.
The apartment itself has approximately 600 square feet . There is a living room with cable T.V., room which has a full bed, second bedroom with a full futon, followed by a equiped kitchen, interior patio and bathroom. The apartement have 15 foot ceilings being part of the original colonial structure. There are fans in every room but no air conditioning. The apartment can accommodate up to four persons. There is a small laundry steps up the street from the property.
Area Description
The apartment is located in a residental area, but walking distance to all tourist attractions. The owner lives in the same building.
