This was the perfect apartment for our stay in Old San Juan, just a block or so from the ocean along the avenue of the forts, and within a block (or few) of great food, music, shopping and cultural treasures. We found the apartment roomy enough for 4 adults, clean, comfortable, with original artwork, well-stocked linens and fully equipped kitchen. Both Irma and Manuel were prompt in addressing our questions and providing insider information. At one point, when we lost wi-fi service, Manuel immediately came over to fix it. When he couldn't, he made an appointment for repair by the service company. The apartment became an oasis of tranquility at night because heavy colonial doors kept outside noise to a minimum; during the day, with the wooden windows open and light infusing the space, we could see and feel a part of the rhythm of the neighborhood. This was indescribably better than any of our stays in North Americanized resorts, condos and hotels. Thank you Irma, Manuel, and Puerto Rico for your warm reception and equally warm goodbye.
