Description of the Onset vacation cottage rental

ONSET/BUZZARDS BAY/ One block from beach and marina and a boat ramp. 2 Bedroom cottage, Sleeps 6, Re-done in Spring 2013. ,Brand new appliances, New bath with Washer/ dryer. Outside shower, nice size relaxing yard with deck and hammock, Front porch with rocker chairs. Plenty of off street parking, Summer rentals- $900/week. Discount for returning renters and multi week bookings..

Area Information

Onset is a charming village located 1/2 hour from historic Plymouth,MA, 45 minutes from Boston and Newport RI. The Cape Cod canal bike/walking trail route and canal cruises are within a short distance from the cottage. Boat curises / ferry to Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket nearby.

Its location on Buzzards Bay offers pristine beaches, excellent kayaking, biking, fishing and boating opportunities and beautiful vistas everywhere you look. Walk to beaches, village, restaurants and shops, boat rentals, or launch your own boat at the free public boat launch.

Summer Onset Events organized by the Onset Bay Association: The Escape the Cape Triathlon and Kayak Poker Run in June, Summer of Love Music Series, Fireworks, Onset Bay Movie Company Thursday night movies, Illumination Night, Onset Blues and Cape Verdean festivals are just some of the events that make the Village great for visitors and residents year round.

Deposits: All prospective tenants are required to secure their selected rental weeks with a 50% deposit 60 days prior to the selected dates. If you cancel prior to 2 weeks of arrival and the cottage is re-rented your deposit will be refunded. If the cancellation of your confirmed reservation leads to a vacancy the deposit will not be returned. A security deposit of $300.00 will be held until the property is inspected. Any damages will be deducted from the security deposit.
Payment Options: Cashier's Check, Money Order, Personal Check
Other Fees: Linens are available at an additional $25.00/week. Cleaning Service is available for an extra $100.00

Beach Vacation

My family had a wonderful time at your perfect little cottage within walking distance to beautiful onset beach. We stayed for the fireworks and could see them from the front porch on comfortable rocking chairs.The yard is fenced in on 3 sides and has a great oak tree to provide shade. There was also a great ocean breeze. What an enjoyable and restful time. Onset is centrally located to drive to Boston or any attraction on the Cape. I would highly recommend staying here.

I wanted to get away with the kids without spending a fortune. The owners were pleasant and I found the cottage to be accommodating. 5 minute walk to the beach. A 10 minute walk got us to the Onset Pier and 1/2 shell. I will rent this cottage again....good luck!

Q:What are the most fun things to do at your vacation rental?

A:Kayaking. We just have to walk down the end of the street and launch the kayak and the salt water bay is beautiful, calm and interesting.

Q:What makes your vacation rental special?

A:It is comfortable, quiet and yet family friendly. The grandkids have a yard to play in and the grandparents have a hammock to rest in. ( although the grandkids have been known to swing high in the hammock!)

Q:What's the coolest nearby activity?

A:The coolest nearby activity is listening to a cool band in the park across from the town pier or watch a Wednesday night kids movie night in the open air in that same park.
