Description of the Orleans vacation home rental

Nauset beach is just down the road from this East Oleans Village, sun filled home. The quiet private road and 150 foot driveway opens into a large backyard, surrounded by privacy, tall Cape Cod pines and colorful flower beds.

This 11 year old, "Captain"s House" was designed and constructed by "Reef "Builders". It's open floor plan with a sun filled great room and efficient layout, as well as it's condition, make it an ideal place for a fun filled sea side vacation or weekend get-a-way.

The house includes three 2nd floor bedrooms, one of which is a large master bedroom with TV, vaulted ceiling and skylight, a den/bedroom, oversized sofas (both queen sofa beds), king size bed (master bedroom), queen size bed, four twin beds include two trundel beds. A fireplace, a 27" tube TV in den, four room A/C units, floor fans, a large library of games, videos, DVDs ... give this home a feel of both fun and pure relaxation.

Outside amenities include a gas grill, oversized hammock, outdoor enclosed hot shower, vollyball, large deck with table, chairs, umbrella and a large tree surrounded backyard define a private enjoyable vacation spot for adults and kids.

Nearby is not only Nauset Beach but the kid friendly Skaket Beach on Cape Cod Bay (8 folding beach chairs are in the house for renters use), Pleasant Bay, Rock Harbor, Nickerson Park, Weekly Summer Camps, the Orleans Firebirds night games, Tennis, Golf, Eataries like Chocolate Sparrow Coffee House, Land Ho and Liams. Lots of seafood! East Orleans Village with it's shops and even it's own theater group down the street. Provincetown and Hyannis are only 25 minute drives away. Chain and local food and liquor stores are nearby.

(Please note: To help maintain the house's rate, all renters are required to clean the house to the level found before leaving. All cleaning items are provided. Check out time is 12:00pm to provide enough time for this. All previous renters have agreed to do this and have done an excellent job.)

There is currently no telephone or internet service in the house. Internet service is available at the town's library.

East Orleans village is a peninsula with the Atlantic Ocean and ocean coves on three sides. On many nights you can hear the ocean waves crashing at Nauset. You can take walks in many directions taking you to hidden coves or public boat launches or to clam digging areas or to beautiful Nauset Beach.

Take your bike (or rent one) and go on the Cape Cod Bike Trail. Take your kayak (or rent one) and go exploring on a nearby pond or saltwater march. Take your camera and take pictures of many types of birds IN THE BACKYARD!

Skaket Beach is the best salt water beach for young kids anywhere. At low tide the water goes out a quarter mile leaving many tidal pools and streams for kids to play in and lots of beach space for adults to escape to.

Both Orleans beaches have lifeguards, outdoor showers, restrooms and snack bars.

Enjoy a delightful evening theater experience at the Orleans Playhouse just down the street.

After dinner, go have an ice cream at the nearby Sundae School and take it with you to the Orleans Cardinal's Cape Cod League baseball game 2 miles away (mid June to mid August). You'll think you've entered into a Norman Rockwell painting from 50 years ago.

Or after dinner, go to the Chocolate Sparrow for your favorite coffee drink and a decadent dessert then go down to Skaket Beach and watch a beautiful sunset over Cape Cod Bay.

East Orleans Village is nearby with it's theater players, several small resterants, ice cream and crafts stores and post office and general store. The Orleans Cardinals, who have produced a number of major league players play under the lights just a few miles from the home. Nauset Beach, one of the favorites in New England is only a few streets away. Skaket Bay Beach, Nickerson State Park, Pleasant Bay, Cape Cod National Sea Shore and Visiting Center.

We spend one marvelous week at this Cape home. It has everything you could wish for in comfort, convenience and solitude. The home is in a perfect location to travel in any direction for entertainment, beaches, shopping, exploring, hiking, bike riding or just staying home and relaxing on the deck and enjoying the flowers and nature. We just loved it and would have stayed forever.

We had a family reunion at this beautiful house in Orleans. The house has everything you could want, very clean and modern. Close to the beach and central to everything on the cape. I highly recommend staying here.

This house was awesome to rent. It may be a little far from the beach but it was totally worth it. The rooms are perfect, the living area is spread out and the kitchen is just the right size. One small downfall is that there is no back yard. The liquor store is about 150 feet from the house and there is extra parking available.

The home is great. Very nice and quite spacious. How surprised to find just how private it is. With all of the leaves on the trees, you can see no other houses even though they are near by. The beach is about 1 mile away, but that is ok, because it is a short drive away, and you have a lovely home to return to for a quite evening to relax. My husband, son, daughter and myself really did enjoy our stay. We also were close enough to the other areas we wanted to visit on our vacation. If only time could have gone by just a little slower. We really did hate to leave such a lovely home so soon. It really is a home away from home.

We spent a wonderful week with our two young sons at this house. It is so private and has a large back yard and great back deck. It is so close to Nauset Beach and a short drive to Skaket beach which is a perfect beach for children. We definitely want to go back next summer!

Great house, very conveniently located in East Orleans, extremely quiet, close to Nauset beach. Also not far from other great places like Welfleet or Marconi beach. We had a great time for Christmas, with very nice weather and long strolls on empty beaches. Highly recommended.
