Let me start by saying that we started our search for the perfect venue to celebrate our daughter's graduation this January and finally found this beautiful home in March. We live locally... so Donna the property manager offered to meet us at the house the weekend after we first contacted her. Upon arrival we were in love! This home is beautifully appointed, updated and well taken care of... however, it still has the charm and character of the era in which is was built. It absolutely is and was the perfect location for a very special intimate party or family get together. The home had everything we wanted and more. Our daughter, our family and friends really had an awesome time here. So pleased! If your looking for a very special beachfront home/property which can comfortably handle a family gathering/party and can accommodate a large family for sleeping arrangements. This is a GREAT choice. And on top of how beautiful the home and property is... the property manager...Donna is great to do business!!

We had such a great time at this beach house I don't want to let anyone else in on it! The place was clean and had everything my crew needed for the stay. I look forward to weekends here with all of my grown children and enjoying the relaxing breeze off the ocean and fun pool. Girls Get-A-Way

This was a perfect location for our first of many girls get-a-way minivacations. As there were 10 of us, there was ample bathroom space and the dining table was easily large enough to have held 14 or 16. The pool was a great size and the hot tub perfect! Location superb-strongly recommend!

Nice, older beach house in great location.

The location is perfect and is the only beach house for a half mile in either direction. It is surrounded by hotels, but is convienient to everything. Nice accomodations for an older home. It was also very CLEAN. One word of caution, the pool is NOT heated. It was very cool while we were there and the pool never got over 72 degrees. They run a heat pump on it during the day, but it is ineffective. If you want a heated pool, you will need to arrange for the natural gas tank to be filled and the true heater to be turned on. We wish we would have. The hot tub is great but make sure it is cleaned and shocked while you are there. a full week without maintanance was too long. Due to the cold weather we used it a lot and lack of the proper chemicals caused us problems. The beds are very comfortable and what you would expect in a nice hotel. The property manager, Donna, was more than willing to help in any way and is awesome.

Owner's reply:

As John has pointed out the temperatures during their stay were less than ideal. I believe it only reached a high in the mid 60's and lows into the 30's. The pool can be heated to your desired temperature for an additional cost of $150.00/stay. It does not require that you pay to fill the propane tank. It is filled and ready to go upon request. Since the hot tub was used continuously it should have had the chemicals adjusted to accommodate the usage. We have taken John's suggestion and will now provide a "shocker" to be used by our guests at the end of every day.

Wonderful spot for a family wedding

A family of 12 plus visitors enjoyed this property for our family wedding. Many of the visitors stayed in the hotels on each side of the property. We were so comfortable and never seemed crowded. The large dining table with a view of the ocean accomodated all of us at meal time. We have not found that in any home we have stayed in or reviewed. The children were so busy between the beach and the pool that they were never bored. I would definitely recommend this home to any family. The wedding crew and caterers were impressed with the property also.

Our Vacation Getaway

If you are considering Ormond Beach, this is the perfect home.Our family vacations every year and this year we decided to venture to Florida. This house is perfect with every little extra that you can imagine. Donna, the Property Manager was amazing from the time of booking the property until our arrrival. We have never felt so welcomed and treated so well . The house is huge inside and perfect for a large group of people. We had 12 in our party this year and plenty of room. I love to cook and spent a few days with supper cooked inside and on the gas grill outside. The view is to die for. In every room of this home you can see the beautiful Ocean and beautfiul lanscape around the property. The pool and hot tub on the property are amazing too. We spent most of our day at the Beach, which is steps away from the front door. So much to do so close. We loved this home and actually re-booked it again for next summer. I can definitely say that it was a week of total relaxation and can't wait for next year. A special thank you to Donna, you were once just a person we got to know through talking on the phone and now we consider you such a good friend. We can't wait to get to see you and talk again next Summer!

The best place for any gathering!

We came together two families to celebrate our children's wedding and it was the Best place! Everyone loved the uniqueness of the house, the location on the beach and the coziness that we all felt even when it rained! The home is fully equipped with everything you can think of but most importantly, the property manager made us feel like family and checked in us making sure we had everything we needed! Our friends who live nearby in ormond beach as we do want to rent it for their family! You will have two new rentals in 2013! Well done!

Perfect home for a large family

We rented this home for a family vacation that included 12 adults, 1 toddler and 2 dogs - the home is beautiful and had everything we needed to prepare all of our meals - we used the grill everyday- The beds were real comfortable and there were plenty of towels for everyone - the only issue was the beach - our pets were not allowed on the beach and there was a good bit of traffic on the beach and most days there were cars parked on the beach directly in front of the home - fortunately there is a pool at the home so we spent our time there. Donna was wonderful to deal with and it would be a perfect vacation spot if it weren't for the issues with the beach itself

Weaver Family Mini-Getaway

OMGosh better than we expected. Property Manager Donna Danver is the bomb! She totally took care of us from the first question regarding renting to the final minutes of checking out. This property was absolutely perfect for our family get together. The Garage Apartment was perfect for early morning coffee and viewing the sun rise ~ and watching the sea gulls and sand pipers looking for their breakfast! Main House: Plenty of towels in the bathroom and a well equipped kitchen, luscious beds and big living room with plenty of seating for end of day conversation. The dining room with a table long/big enough for all 12 of our family members to eat breakfast and dinner at; while catching up with one another, watching sports on TV or just looking at the waves break along the beach. Grilled lunches were served poolside each afternoon. Sitting in the chairs, sunning in the loungers, or relaxing in the spa - what more could one ask for!?! Total R&R. What a great Mother's Day weekend it was. The only thing we needed...was more time there! Oh yes, already making plans for the next stay! Thank you so much Donna! Todd & Donna Weaver and family

We truly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home in Ormond Beach! We got up early every morning to enjoy the sunrise from the front lawn, and we often got to view dolphins frolicking by. When we were tired of the beach, we would go up and enjoy the pool. It was an absolutely perfect place for our friends and family of 14. We would stay again!

Biketoberfest

Unfortuneately, we had a hurricane with 81 mph winds and water poured into the windows upstairs and downstairs which we had to mop for 3 days. The windows should of been upgraded for hurricane weather. Also a couple of the bedrooms upstairs had no privacy, you had to walk through some one elses bedroom to get to the bathroom. But after the hurricane we all had a great time.

As our guest has noted the weather was less than ideal during their stay. With hurricane force winds sometimes comes problems with windows and shingles. These problems have since been corrected. Access to one bedroom is through one of two king bedrooms. This is a family home and we have not found this to be an issue with any other guests.

Beautiful home right on the beach with everything you could need for a fabulous beach vacation. The house is so warm and charming. The dining room table is huge overlooking the ocean, just perfect! The rooms and beds are comfortable. Love the Adirondack chairs in the back yard overlooking the beach! The location of the home is great, close to Publix as well as downtown Ormand Beach shops and restaurants. The best house I've rented in the area by far. I will definitely return. Thanks to Donna for being so easy to work with. Can't wait to return!

Paradise on Earth

My family and I spent the week of July 4th in this lovely house. Everything was beautiful and very clean just as shown on the web. Donna was wonderful to work with from beginning to end. I do not know where to begin – not sure if the best part of the week was the house,the beach or hot tub. Maybe it was having my morning coffee on the deck watching the sun rise and taking walks on the beach. The worst part would have to be leaving this paradise. I look forward to returning to paradise some day.

I can't say enough about how wonderful our week was in this house! This is by far one of the best vacation homes I have ever stayed in. I do not have one negative comment. Everything you need to stay here is provided and then some. It is comfortable, clean, well stocked, and exactly as pictured on this website. It will not be our last time renting this house. This is our second year staying at this well maintained and now upgraded two story home! Once again, my very large family utilized this house to the extreme.. Bike Week Vacation

The home is wonderful and the views are to die for. Waking up every morning and going to sit outside to drink our morning coffee and be able to be just steps from the beach was wonderful!!! We had 8 people stay in the house and had plenty of room. Everyone is ready to book for next year and excited about the remodel. Looking forward to next year. Also Thank you Donna for making renting this property such a pleasent experience. We have been comming to Bike Week for 12 years and this is by far the best place we have stayed so far!! Daytona is one of our favorite places to visit and thinking of comming back with the family and staying at the house once remodel is done.

Ladies Getaway Weekend!

Five of us recently rented this property for a ladies getaway weekend! We're a pretty fussy group, and not easily impressed...but this was absolutely perfect! The decor is beach elegant, the furnishings are comfortable, and most importantly--the view is awesome! From the inside of the house you have an unobstructed view of the surf on two levels! Outside, there is a beautiful grassy backyard, that yields to the sand and the sea! The ocean is literally your backyard! No roads to cross! There are plenty of comfortable chairs outside to while away the hours, margarita in hand! But while the sights and sounds of the ocean are the pulse of this place, the real treasure is the property manager, Donna. Donna was there to introduce us to the property, and to provide information about the area. She was close enough to run over to solve a problem, or answer a question-- but never imposed upon our privacy. Donna is a gem!

It has only been a month since our stay at this wonderful house and I am already planning my next visit! Once you enter the drive way it seems as though you travel back in time, to a place where everything was simpler. Great Get Away

This a great get away home. Quaint house with spectacular beach front views. Large yard for kids to play and just a few steps from the beach. You can relax on the patio chairs and watch your children play on the beach just a few yards away. With an awesome ocean breeze it never felt like it was in the upper 90's. From the house you can see dolphins swimming at a short distance and you could watch the pelicans do their daily fly over the property on their way to their nightly resting place. At night we would sit out in the back patio, listening the ocean waves while enjoying some wine. It was very peaceful. You could drive down a few minutes and be in the middle of Daytona Beach (plenty of restaurants and watering holes as well as shops). I would recommend driving up A1A and visiting St. Augustine, the oldest city in the U.S. Less than an hour drive to Fort Matanzas and Castillo de San Marcos (old Spanish Forts). We BBQ'd every day and really enjoyed our stay on the property. Donna, the property manager, was very accommodating. I would recommend staying at this property.

It Really Is a Private Paradise

The beach was our yard, the dolphins were cavorting, and every word of the ad was true. This house is a gracious gem with beautiful living spaces and bedrooms. Both inside and outside we found multiple places to gather in small and larger groupings. This property was the catalyst for my far-flung family members to rediscover each other,and something about the house itself, as well as the beach, was part of that. Lovely individualized touches in every bedroom. Everything's within walking distance. The kids want ice cream? It's right across the street.
