Description of the Orvieto vacation guesthouse rental

The Casa BonaDea is composed of two units: The traditional ‘Dragon’ unit, and the recently built ‘Terra’ unit.

Terra Unit: Living/dining room with fireplace and spacious sofa, Satellite TV and CD/DVD player, library. Very well equipped kitchen with stove top, oven, fridge, dishwasher. Two bedrooms, one is a king size bedroom, the other bedroom includes a desk and a couch. An additional single bed or a baby cot is available. One bathroom with shower. Sleeps 4 +1.

Dragon unit: ground floor: A living room with sofa, two comfort armchairs, Satellite TV and CD/DVD player, library, fireplace, WC. Full equipped kitchen with stove top, oven, fridge, dishwasher
and a dining table for 8 hat turns into 12 seats. First floor: two king size bedrooms with matrimonial beds (sleeps 4), one room is en suite with shower and a WC. A bathroom with a tub and WC.

Casa BonaDea is situated on the outskirts of the small village Torre S. Severo in Umbria, between Tuscany and Lazio. It is centred between the Bolsena Lake and Orvieto approximately - 15 minutes to each site.

ORVIETO: A hilltop town built on a table like tufo rock. The Duomo: the crown of the city which is seen from all around is covered in golden mosaics and carvings that make it shine from the distance in the sunset. Orvieto has a wealth of museums and galleries, a theatre, wine bars and restaurants and every evening the whole population promenades along the Corso - the central shopping street. On Saturday and Thursday there is a large morning market selling cheeses, meats, salad and vegetables picked fresh from gardens and allotments earlier that morning.

BOLSENA: Ancient town, the Etruscan "Volsinii", still retains its medieval narrow streets leading up to the castle. Wander through the narrow streets of this medieval town and visit its castle, museum, basilica and churches or shop in the local market on Tuesday. Bolsena is located on the shores of the largest volcanic lake in Europe providing a wealth of recreational opportunities for all age groups; these include swimming, sailing, fishing and water skiing. It has very clean water coming out from natural springs.

CIVITA DI BAGNOREGIO: An abandoned medieval city standing on a precipitous outcrop on the middle of a broad valley and reached only by a narrow footbridge. In Bagnoregio, next to the gate of the old part there is a pizza bar with the best pizza in the area.
