Area Description
Lake Poygan is a part of the huge Fox and Wolf river system. Lake Poygan is a large lake lake with a acreage of 14,000 acres. It is connected to Lakes Winneconne, (5,000 acres), Lake Butt Des Morts, ( 8,000 acres), and Lake Winnebago (135,000 acres). There are several towns and citys on this system, and you could travel by boat for days without treading the same water.
For those people interested in winter sports, we have snowmobile ''''''s dream covering those same hundreds of miles of water on the stuff frozen in addition tom miles and miles of trails. We have down hill skiing at Nordic Mountain, with skiing for all skill levels
For the fisherpersons we have MUSKY, Northern Pike Walleye, Bass, and pan fish. The White bass run in the spring and fall are world famous, and the spring Sturgeon spearing is a site to behold (or participate in).
