We stayed in this house for a week in July. When we walked in the door, it was like a home away from home. Very comfortable, clean, nicely decorated, everything was in working order, and there was plenty of space for my extended family that was constantly coming and going. The owners, Alan and Debi, are great. The information package that they provided told us everything we needed to know as first time visitors to the area. The pictures on this web are pretty good, but there is no substitue for sitting at the firepit on a cool evening and listening to the creek. The back yard/creek area is a spot of heaven on earth! The neighbors are also very friendly. No such thing a being a stranger there, unless you want to be and then they will just smile, wave, and go on their way. Everyone I encountered in Otto and Franklin was very friendly and helpful. If you want a little education on the area, go to the Franklin Chamber of Commerce, only a few miles away. I even learned a few words of the Cherokee language there. This visit was truly the best vacation I have had in years! I look forward to going back again.
