Description of the Ouray vacation home rental

Your reward for staying at Bighorn House is to be able to wake up, open your eyes and see the sun rise on Mt. Abrams and the City of Ouray.

Peaceful and relaxing, this home has amazing views of Mt. Abrams, City of Ouray, and Whitehouse Mountain.

Three bedrooms and two full baths with a wonderful greatroom including a flat screen tv. Nice deck with BBQ grill and table and chairs. Yes, there are big horns that frequent the 1/2 acre yard. Pets are welcome for an additional deposit.

The home contains 4 solar panels on the roof and so while you are there, you know much of your electricity is generated by the sun. It takes advantage of Net Metering so you actually can offset some of your carbon footprint.

Ouray is a historic Colorado mining town deep in the heart of the San Juan Mountain range that swells in the summertime with visitors from all over the US. It is a fantastic "Base Camp" for those loving the Colorado High Country. Hiking and Mountain Biking trails abound. Telluride is just 45 minutes away! Take the breath-taking Million Dollar highway to Durango or, for an even more amazing experience, take the Silverton - Durango Narrow Gauge Railroad through the gorges of the Las Animas river.

We were staying in Ouray for business and the house worked out beautifully for us. The owners were great and very helpful any time we needed anything. I would recommend this place to anyone!

The Big Horn house met our needs for our family reunion. The layout provided ample space for group activities and meals. The deck, yard and provided movies provided built in entertainment for our non-scheduled time. Everyone found the overall feel of the house to be homey, comfortable and supportive of our together time. Thank you!
