Beautiful Beach Home

Three-story house ... Thirty second walk to AA rated Hollywood beach- the best beach in Oxnard. The top floor is the master suite and has panoramic views of the beach, harbor and mountains. It is furnished with a king-sized bed, queen sofa bed, two chests of drawers and a desk in the work area. There is also a gas fireplace for a truly cozy experience on a cold winter's night. Just off the master suite you can step onto a deck with wonderful views of the ocean and harbor and on a clear day, the beautiful Channel Islands. Sit out on the deck in the morning with your coffee and hear the sounds of the ocean. The spacious master bath has a double shower, double sink, tub for two, and a huge walk-in closet. The second floor has a large living area with a combination living room/dining room/kitchen. The dining table seats eight and there are 5 barstools for extra seating at the large kitchen counter. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. There is a second deck next to the kitchen with a pass through window from the kitchen. The five burner electric range is adjacent to the window so you can slide through your hot food right onto a counter on the deck. There are great views of the harbor and a table that easily seats six. There is a charcoal bbq for your use. The second floor also has a bedroom with a queen sized bed and a full bath. The first floor has two bedrooms. One is furnished with twin bunkbeds. It also has a desk, a large closet and lots of storage. The other bedroom is furnished with a daybed, trundle and full sized futon, a coffee table and chairs. This room also has its own refrigerator, sink, microwave, tv with dvd, and lots of storage. This bedroom can be locked off and then the house is rented as a three bedroom house at a reduced rate for a group of less than 5 guests during the off season for monthly rentals. The bathroom on the first floor is included if the fourth bedroom is rented. The first floor has a one car garage with a washer/dryer. Also, there is an outdoor shower and a small deck that is sheltered from the wind. There is also a patio that is enclosed and sheltered from the wind. The house is not baby-proofed and may not be appropriate for active toddlers, or those with difficulties climbing stairs. But it is great for families with kids over 5 or infants. There is also an enclosed dog run. In summer the house only rents from Monday to Monday, Friday to Friday, Friday to Monday or Monday to Friday. All the following rates includes the cleaning fee for summer: $2950/week; $1550 weekend; $1850 M-F. The rates for off season vary and this site doesn't allow me the flexibility I need so please contact me.

The house is across from Channel Islands Harbor and the new Maritime museum. It is walking distance to boat rentals including electric boats, kayaks,and peddle boats. You can also rent pedicabs and bicycles. It is near to restaurants, shopping, miniature golf, regular golf and museums. The beach is one of the most beautiful, deep beaches in southern California. It is rated A/A. Great for boogie boarding or surfing, or swimming. While it is a public beach and has a lifeguard in summer, it never feels the least bit crowded. Channel Islands can be toured by boat. A public boat launch is very near--you are welcome to bring your boat. There is a farmer's market every Sunday very near by. In summer there are concerts in the park and outdoor plays for children. Special events are almost all with in walking distance- such as the Whale Festival, July 4th carnival, and boat parade.
