Description of the Packwood vacation cabin rental

This Cabin Retreat is a newly constructed, 1036 square foot fully furnished, beautiful A-frame cabin representing the quintessential style of vacation homes. This A-frame is as affordable as it is adorable!

Approximately 28-miles to the east of our cabin is the White Pass Ski and Recreation area. Mt. Rainier National Park is 18 miles northeast. To the west 25-miles is Mt. St. Helens National Monument. Close by is Gifford Pinchot National Forest which offers a multitude of recreational activities. This area is not "touristy" yet attracts thousands of visitors due to it's rugged beauty. From the grand front windows of the cabin is a view of the majestic mountains as well as the Cowlitz River.

Because of our proximity to so many recreational areas, Packwood enjoys a diversity of people and businesses. Summer events include two flea markets, an art exhibition, hotrod car show, music festivals and the world famous Loggers Jubilee which is held in the nearby town of Morton. Skiing, snowboarding, snowmobilling (to name a few) as well as the Christmas festival, winter carnival and a snowmobile hill climb keep us busy in the winter.

This woodland site is shared with numerous wildlife creatures such as elk, deer, raccoons, and wild geese, to name a few. In the early morning and evening hours, frogs from a nearby pond will occasionally serenade you. If you look overhead, you will often spot a pair of Eagles soaring high above, but sometimes you have to take a closer look as what your seeing may instead be a hang-gliders who have leaped off nearby dog-mountain, soaring like Eagles and are a real treat to watch! • Deposits: $100 is required and will be held as a security deposit. Security Deposits shall serve as a security & damage deposit and for additional cleaning and damage, if necessary, and is refundable. Additional cleaning would consist of our cleaners having to pick up excess trash and clean unnecessary stains on carpets and furniture. All linens and towels are provided and will be counted before the security deposit is cleared. If there are issues after the cleaners inspect the cabin, the fee will not

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Everything was as represented. Bill and Tricia very professional and take personal stake in how the cabins are operated. Beautiful location, convenient to Mt St Helens and Mt Rainier NP. Packwood has good grocery store and restaurants. Would stay there again.

We called and were able to get in last minute. The cabin is very nice and we all had a great time. The owners of the cabin are very accomadating and we hope to stay there again soon!

We enjoyed our Thanksgiving stay at the cabin. The cabin was top of the line. Very beautiful. Comfortable beds, plenty of clean linens, and overall very relaxing. The kitchen provided all we needed to make our holiday dinner. Plenty of space to cook, eat, and enjoy each other. While the cabin was out in the wilderness it was close to town too. If you are looking to get away from it all, this is the place. We spent the weekend playing board games, watching videos and reading. Definately a good time!
