Description of the Packwood vacation chalet rental

We have FOUR luxury chalets that we offer in the Mt Rainier/Mt St Helens area. Our company is called GREAT NORTHWEST CABINS, know for it's quality properties, impeccable attention to detail and incredible amenities.
They all have hot tubs, fireplaces, TV's, DVD's, Cable, Full Kitchens, W/D's and so much more!

FREE WIFI!

Our homes are on the edge of Mt Rainier National Park, 12 mi from the newly expanded White Pass Ski Area and less than 1/2 hour from Mt. St Helen's National Volcano Monument.

RATES start at:
Spring/Fall
$125 a night midweek
$150 a night weekends
Winter/Summer
$125-$150 a night midweek
$175 a night weekends
Add 9.7% tax and $60 cleaning fee.
(Rates good for up to 4 people, add $15 pp pn extra after 4 up to 8, see our site for holiday rates.)

ONLY 2 hours from Seattle, WA or Portland, OR international airports! Packwood is on Highway 12 is a designated National Scenic Byway!

Many come and don't want to leave the comfort of the cabin because it is so relaxing. Others venture out into the Mt. Rainier National Forest, Gifford Pinchot National Forest, White Pass Ski Area, Mt. St. Helens, the Cowlitz River, Snowmobiling, fourwheeling, horseback riding, rafting, the snow parks and recreation areas, and the many concerts and cultural events of east Lewis County. In summer enjoy the 2 outdoor heated pools, tennis court, playground, club house, Cowlitz River access and large playing fields.

Thanksgiving in Packwood

November 26, 2012

Beautiful cabin in a nice neighborhood by the Cowlitz River! The kitchen had plenty of room to cook a full Thanksgiving Dinner and accomodate 8 people. We enjoyed our walks to the river where we saw many elk. This was a very enjoyable experience for our whole family.

Comfortable and Convenient!

The chalet had everything we could have possibly needed and we were very comfortable there. Everything is very clean and new. The beds were comfortable and there was wi-fi! The owners (and maybe some previous guests?) had left some good maps and hiking guides that we appreicated. What I was most pleased about was the convenient location to both Mt. Rainier and Mt. St. Helen's. We were able to spend a day at each location.

Great house, but really only 2 bedrooms

This is a beautiful house, spacious, modern, great kitchen and common areas, loved the floor to ceiling windows during the day. We used the fire pit, kids played in the small creek nearby. Its a quiet area and a nice view of the valley, though we could not see Rainier. BUT - we had 2 families with 4 adults and 5 kids. The master bedroom is just a loft over the living room so it got lots of light early in the morning, and anyone who woke up early had to be very quiet as the folks in the loft could hear everything. The location is good, 5 mins to Packwood, easy access to the Natl Park. The house is well built, bathrooms spacious, kitchen had everything we needed. If you are going to use the grill, be sure to have lighter fluid. The owners were great, we needed some more wood for the fire pit and they brought some by that afternoon.

Beautiful cozy cabin

This cabin was by far the best. It was as cozy as my own home and had all the amenities including a coffee grinder. I especially liked the hot tub after a long day of skiing and the herd of elk in the front yard.

River Fun

A great house for our family of six (kids 6-13). We loved the hot tub and spent many hours playing in the river. We made use of the equipment provided for horseshoes, badmitton, and tubing. The house is clean and comfortable. Nice big deck with barbecue grill.
