Description of the Padova vacation villa rental
Villa Mandriola is encircled from a park of 5 hectares where we find secular plants, hills and a lake. This substantial holiday Villa lies just a short distance from the city centre of historic Padua.
Villa Mandriola is on two plans:
- the ground floor is formed from large charming gallery that leads to: a library, a dining room, an entrance hall, at 2 large sitting rooms, a large well-equipped kitchen with fireplace, laundry room and a bath;
- the first floor is composed from 2 double bedrooms, 2 twin rooms, 2 single bedrooms, 4 bathrooms with bath.
Villa Mandriola was fashioned into a home in the 17th century by the San Bonifacio, a noble family from Verona. The main body of the villa has spacious and comfortable rooms all furnished with period furniture and most of that are all covered by 16th century frescoes.
Villa Mandriola is in the heart of a highly suggestive setting, because from here is possible to reach, in day, the cities of Venice, Vicenza, Verona, Ferrara, Bologna, and the south river of the Lake of Garda. The unique hospitality of Villa Mandriola guarantees a stay that has little in common with the usual holiday villa.
This is a step back to old-world luxury, twinned with modern comforts. It is the ideal venue for your vacation in Veneto. Villa Mandriola is the ideal Italian vacation accommodation for a large party, for business meetings or for families sharing.
Villa Mandriola is also affiliated with a Golf Club, wine estate, one of the best spas hotel in Abano Terme (providing saunas, massages, thermal pools, etc), Italian language classes and a local restaurant which can run cooking courses in the Villa.
The Villa is set in 5 hectares of private and tranquil parkland, guests may enjoy walking or riding bicycles while exploring the paths and country lanes all the way to the Euganean Hills.
Besides a small boat to discover the large private lake, the acres of estate grounds are ideal for country walks, trekking and cycling. Guests are also welcome to fish.
The outdoor swimming pool is open from June to September.
Padova is situated in the centre of Veneto. Even today the town welcomes the tourists with its suggestive medieval atmosphere.
Every corner of the old town centre reveals its historical and artistic aspects.
Many artists had left some most important works of art: frescoes by Giotto in Scrovegni Chapel (14th century), the Duomo and the Baptistery with frescoes by Giusto de '''''' Menabuoi, the Basilica complex with the masterpieces by Donatello (15th century) and Tiziano (the Reneissance), the Piazza Eremitani with Ovetary Chapel containing frescoes by Andrea Mantegna.
The surroundings of Padua are famous for their artistic, archeological, cultural and natural heritage.
The latest peculiarity of this area are excellent gastronomic specialities and wine-making, highly appreciated both by experts and regular clients.

Reviews for this vacation villa rental in Padova, Veneto, Italy
Peaceful and charming place, February 9, 2007 It's grounds, buildings, interiors, furnishings, are all world class. The owner and his family are world class, also.
Our 3 generation family of 10 spent 1 week at the Villa, for a reunion, in the early part of June, 2008. There were no surprises. The kitchen is enormous, and completely equipped. Grocery shopping with everything available is very close, with reasonable prices. The bedrooms, and bathrooms are grand, and comfortable. The wall murals throughout, and statuary outside truly transport you to a romantic period in Italy. Our stay was much too short - there is so much to do around Padova - and we would have liked to just relax at the Villa longer.
I will always consider the family at he villa as friends, and would love to return to Villa Mandriola.
