Located in desirable Hawaiian Paradise Park, on a one acre lot.
PUNA district is RURAL, unspoiled paradise; it is the "old" Hawaii. You'll hear only the sounds of the night---frogs, crickets, wind, surf.
PUNA is a place for reflective relaxation, exploring lava tubes, & lava flows, rainforest, and a variety of exotic farms growing palms, papayas, orchids, coffee, and macadamia nuts. The ocean itself is in the low 70's-Snorkel in nearby tide pools, or Thermal spring pond. Popular activities in Puna include swimming, beaching, snorkeling, diving, body surfing, hiking, bicycling, birdwatching, photography, horseback riding, visits to Farmers Markets and art galleries, golf, whale watching, fishing, the Merrie Monarch International Hula Festival, and trips to the famous observatory.
Pahoa Village- 10 minutes to shopping, dining, banking, free public olympic sized pool.
Volcano National Park approx. 1 hr drive away.
Hilo- International airport just 30 minutes away; Botanical Gardens, Rainbow Falls, University of Hawaii, Tsunami Museum, Planetarium, Zoo, major chain department stores.

Holiday in Paradise

We were delighted to stay at this vacation home. It was spacious, well equipped, clean, and very well maintained. The home is close to the Hilo airport. The area is quiet, safe, close to shopping. If you listen, you can hear the ocean in the evening. We toured the island, hiked near volcanoes, tried various restaurants, saw sea turtles, and zip lining. Everyday was a new excursion. In the evening we would cook our dinner in the well equipped kitchen and relax on the large deck. In the morning, we'd have coffee on the deck and view the property's gardens. I would highly recommend this place.

I really enjoyed my time at this rental property. Commuting from the airport was a breeze. It was close to other amenities and Hawaiian vacation highlights. The property was clean and well maintained. The grounds were well kept and I enjoyed relaxing in the pool under the stars.
