Description of the Palm Springs vacation condo rental

Designer condo in historic Villa Alejo, steps from downtown and the Movie Colony neighborhood. This comfortable ground floor unit features a front entry adorned with spectacular desert murals by famed artist Russell Blackburn, Italian glass tiles in the fully-equipped kitchen with coffee bar and a separate drink refrigerator, a California king bed in the master suite which also includes a huge walk in shower with double shower heads and another ceiling mural. Because the owners use the condo themselves sometimes, you'll find the kitchen well equipped for cooking with plenty of plates and glasses for dining.

Villa Alejo was built as a hotel to house visiting movie stars and their friends during Palm Springs' heyday as a playground for the rich and famous. There's a beautifully landscaped central pool and jacuzzi perfect for sun-bathing but sheltered from the wind. Parking right outside the door, and no steps to the condo entrance.

Area Information

Villa Alejo is located one block from downtown, just off Indian Canyon, one of the main streets of Palm Springs. Within a short walk you'll find many restaurants and boutique shops, both in downtown and uptown Palm Springs, the Spa and Casino, and the Art Museum. Across the street is a theater and art center. On Thursday nights downtown Palm Springs comes alive with the Village Fest featuring vendors, music, and food. The closest grocery store is 1 1/2 miles away and there are several grocery and drug stores within five miles. Golf courses and the famous aerial tramway are a short drive away.

Villa Alejo review...

We actually stayed two months, Jan. and Feb. This was our second year at the Villa Alejo complex but a different unit. As good as our experience was last year, this year was even better. This location is close to everything and very reasonably priced. The pool is large and just the right temperature and the exercise room is more has all that one would desire. We plan to make this condo complex our destination for years to come.
