Description of the Palm Springs vacation home rental

There's nothing more enjoyable than the privacy of a vacation home, when comparing amenities to that of a hotel or condo multi-plex. VILLA AMELIA is located in a newly built subdivision just north of the bustle of downtown Palm Springs, yet far enough away for quiet seclusion and total privacy. Large enough to comfortably accommodate 4 adults, this home is available for getaway weekends, long vacations, and special holidays.

Below is a small list of my favorite summer activities when visiting Palm Springs:

PALM SPRINGS VILLAGEFEST
Every Thursday evening from 7-10pm along North Palm Canyon Drive from Baristo Rd. to Amado Rd. The street is closed-off for pedestrians and a variety of vendors displaying quality arts & crafts, food, live entertainment, and Certified Farmers Market Produce.

KNOTTS SOAK CITY
A deluxe, family-oriented water playground with 18 major water slides and attractions including the 800,000-gallon Rip Tide Reef wave pool. Kids yes, but adults will also have a blast too!
1500 S. Gene Autry Trail, Palm Springs

PALM SPRINGS AERIAL TRAMWAY
A Must see when in town, you'll be taken on the world's largest rotating tramcar to the top of Mount San Jacinto - 8,516 feet above the desert valley and 20 degrees cooler. There you are transported to the threshold of the 13,000 acre Mt. San Jacinto Wilderness State Park, with 54 miles of biking trails, cross country hikes, and magnificent views of Coachella Valley below. Also at the top is an alpine restaurant, cocktail lounge, and a 22 minute film documenting the history of the tramway. Take Palm Canyon Drive to Tramway Road.

PALM SPRINGS AIR MUSEUM
Indoor and air-conditioned hanger, this expansive collection of featured propeller-driven World War II aircraft are all in flying condition. Enjoy the 60-seat Buddy Rogers Theatre of the Air, a restoration center, plus photographs and memorabilia.

WANGS IN THE DESERT RESTAURANT
Finish your fun-filled day dining on delicious cuisine. If you like gourmet Chinese food with a flair for the unexpected, then you'll love this restaurant. I eat here often when in town. Beautifully designed interior with coi pond and Pagoda Bridge, the atmosphere is warm and inviting. I recommend booking your party in the private VIP room.

The private backyard and 15 x 30ft salt-water pool & spa command a spectacular view of the San Jacinto mountain range. The entire house has been tiled in Italian stone slate to help keep the house cool during the warmer months. The home decor includes an eclectic mix of contemporary and Spanish motifs, along with Leather Furniture, a Rustic Flagstone Fire Place, and an elegant dinning area for six. The TV entertainment area is adjacent the bright clean kitchen, perfect for staying in the conversations while preparing the munchies for your guests or family.

New, we've just added a 32" Flat Screen TV w/DVD combo and AppleTV interactivity over the fireplace in living room.

In addition to the extra 3rd bedroom, VILLA AMELIA also has implemented new services and amenities. Upon arrival, each booking will receive a complimentary bottle of California wine, and crackers as our way of saying "thank you for your reservation." All rooms are upgraded with new stylish comforter bedding, 600 thread-count sheets with down pillows, and down mattress pads for your sleeping comfort. Reservations also include exceptional cleaning, bath linens, and oversized beach towels for everyone in your party up to 6.

Birthday Bash?
Villa Amelia is a great venue for a small birthday hoopla or perhaps a quiet celebration with your significant other. You provide the birthday, and my staff and I can handle the arrangements. Just bring your birthday suit (and suitcase)! Upon arrival, you'll enter a celebration-filled room with helium balloons, a birthday bouquet and a bottle of champagne. We'll also include for your gastronomical pleasure, the “pièce de résistance”: a personalized birthday cake (singing optional). Cost: $75.

Lovely and Private Palm Springs Retreat

If you're looking for a comfortable, well-appointed, quiet and private retreat in Palm Springs, Villa Amelia is the spot. My husband and I stayed three nights and liked it so much we wish we would could have stayed longer. The house was very comfortable and in a nice location. Our favorite feature was the private backyard with its perfect swimming pool and spa. Every morning, we so enjoyed sitting outside to eat under the big umbrella and gaze up at the San Jacinto Mountains. At night, we could see the tram going up to the mountaintop. An added plus is that its just a short drive to downtown Palm Springs. The house is a good size for either a couple or a family. Jon, the owner, was so easy and nice to work with too. We'll definitely be staying again.

Hidden Gem in Rancho Mirage

I just stayed at this property last weekend and it far exceeded my expectations! The owners were extremely easy to work with and the house is soo amazing that the pictures do not nearly do it any justice. The pool is spectacular, and the lake and mountain view is the perfect backdrop to a perfect home. Meticulously clean, and stocked with everything you need, I would rent this property again in a heartbeat. It is the perfect vacation home.

August 18 - 21 I was researching online for a resort/casita with private pool for my husband's birthday when I came across the website for Villa Amelia. I was a bit skeptical at first because it all looked and sounded so wonderful. I was also concerned about the close proximity to other neighbors and whether we'd feel as though we were secluded. All those concerns vanished the moment we stepped onto your property. It was the most relaxing time we have had in quite a long while. May 6 This is a great place to stay - we loved the pool and Jacuzzi with the mountain views. The house was wonderfully decorated.
