Description of the Palmetto vacation home rental

Immaculate 2-bedroom home is literally 3' from the water. Includes dock with boat lift for 24' boat, with access to Tampa Bay and the Gulf. Open and bright floor plan. Lg. kitchen, granite countertops, breakfast bar, dining rm. Master bdrm has spectacular view of the water! 2nd bedrm has double bed. 3rd bedroom set up as office(also with water views). 2 full baths(all tile). Deck and patio, washer/dryer, TV and internet.

Minimun rental - 1 month. Co-op REQUIRES A FELONY BACKGROUND CHECK of renter for everyone's safety. FULL PMT. DUE UPON BOOKING. No smoking or pets allowed.

Located in a 55-plus mobile home waterfront community. (ONE RENTER MUST BE 55 - all others can be under 55). Marina, bait shop, heated pool, hot tub, exercise room, library, shufflebd, pool tables, etc. Many activities- including pot-lucks & dances.

Area Information

We are just south of St. Pete and Tampa, and 1 hour west of Orlando. Palmetto and Bradenton are small towns on either side of the Manatee River. They are easy to get around, with lower traffic and all the shopping you need.

Boaters have direct access to Tampa Bay and Gulf.

Emerson Point wildlife preserve is an easy bike away (3 miles) with a small beach & nature trails in an "old Florida" setting.

The white sand Gulf Coast beaches are 20 mins away. Golf Course 4 miles. Take a day-trip to Sanabel and Captiva Islands for world-class shelling. Busch Gardens, Disney, Universal Studios, Sea World are all easy day trips from here.

Perfect Get-Away

My wife and I stayed for the month of January 2012 and I have to say that this rental was immaculate.You couldn't ask for a more caring cowner couple then Sheryl and her husband. There was not enough they could do for you and the place had everything you might want and if did not then Sheryl was there to get it for you. If you like the water you could not get any closer then here. We had the pleasure to see a couple of Manetee right outside in the bay enjoying the water. We both needed a relaxing vacation and that we did and I would not hesitate to go back. I would have to give them a perfect 10 and then some.Oh yes and the neigbors are super people. It was the BEST EVER...We miss you guys

Fabulous Rental Property

Stayed at this property in Jan & Feb'12. It had just been renovated with new furnishings and appliances and we were the first tenants to great landlords. Firstly, my wife was totally impressed with the cleanliness, openness and brightness. She always says in a rental she likes to be able to see all the corners and she was not disappointed here. Ceramic tiles and no carpets helped show the cleanliness. The home itself as advertised sits right on the water and from the bedroom you feel you are on a ship since you can only see water and no land unless you stand right at the window. We spent more time that we would normally spend staying on the premises and just sitting on the deck either reading or watching the different birds diving to the water or fish jumping, It also helped that the weather this year was so perfect. The Tropic Isles Park itself is so quiet and neighborly. Many an evening we would go for a walk through a large area of the park and not encounter another soul but when we did there was always pleasantries exchanged. The Park also had a great pool, hot tub, fitness room and library. There were several offerings a week for such things as pancake breakfasts, entertainment or garage sales that let you meet and greet your neighbors. We found Palmetto a very quiet and small community but offering a Publix Grocery and Walmart Supercentre as well as a few restaurants. However you are about 5 miles from the Ellenton Outlet Malls and if you can't find it here, it doesn't exist. For chain restaurants and shopping malls its a short drive over the bridge to Bradenton where its a little more hectic pace but lots of shopping. The beaches are unbelievable and a drive down Manatee or Cortez in Bradenton will take you to the beaches and many restaurants and shops. Due to illness we only started looking for a Florida place, although we've been going for 18 years, on Dec 17th. By coincidence the home and just had the renovations completed and was advertised at the same time. So how did we feel about the accommodation? It was like winning the lottery. We could not have expected anything more or better.
