Reviews for this vacation apartment rental in Paris, Ile de France, France
Week in Paris, November 28, 2007 We had a really lovely time in Paris, the studio had everything we needed and was in an excellent position for exploring Paris! You made booking arrangements really easy for us, and getting into the studio was easy (once we'd worked out how to open the door!) so thank you very much! We can't remember the name of it, but the creperie a couple of streets away was excellent! I will definitely suggest the studio to anyone i know going to Paris! We've also looked up your other property which looks lovely so may be in contact in the future!! Many thanks Rob and Naomi, UK
Hello John, We had a fantastic vacation, and your studio was great. The information you supplied for the arrival, and departure was very helpful, as was the local map provided. Everything was superb, Thank you Lydia & Paul W., Canada
We had a lovely time thank you! I thought the booking arrangements were pretty simple and easy and that the information was very helpful, especially to do with how to get there from the airport and how to get into the apartment. Everything to do with the studio was good .The nicest thing about the studio was sitting at the window table with the french windows open listening to the quiet streets around it.
We went to 2 particularly good restaurants nearby, caffe caesar 'restaurant italian' at the top of avenue carnot made the best pizza i think i've ever had; the owners were very friendly and it only cost us 24E each for a pizza, a beer and a lovely dessert- a reallly reaalllly good tiramisu! The other really nice place we went (we actually went twice it was so tasty) was chez clement about the 2nd restaurant down from the arc de triomphe on the champs elysees; the price varied on the menu but you could get a rotisserie menu for 17.50E which was for either a starter and main or main and dessert, or you could get all 3 for 22.50E. Before 7pm or after 10.45pm the price for all 3 courses plus a drink was 19E so very good value for money and delicious too! The patisserie/cafe at the end of rue des acacias was cheap, friendly and tasty. You could get a massive filled baguette/panini with a dessert (croissant, pain au chocolat etc) and a drink for 5.50E and croque monsieur was only 2.50E there- the cheapest i saw it on our holiday, and the plain baguettes from there were very cheap and very tasty. The boulangerie at the other end of rue des acacias was somewhat more expensive but made really nice little quiches. Thanks for providing us with a lovely place to stay to enjoy our holiday. Thanks again, Gemma S. , UK
John, We had a lovely time. thanks for your professionalism. We just got back to London, and will be sending the mailbox key to you from there tomorrow. a marvelous experience. we went to Le Souk, in the Marais, and loved it. Moroccan food. The Tagine Canette was outstanding. Keith D., USA
Hello Mr Barugh,
First of all we would like to thank you for the good bottle of wine which we found at our arrival. It was really great and we appreciated it a lot. I would mention :- The new museum Quai Branly .- One very nice restaurant called " Vin & Marée" situated at 165, Rue Saint Honoré 75001 Paris. We would like to tell you we really appreciated our stay in Paris and we thank you very much. Ali & Irène Vilain. Tunisia
Just to say we had a really lovely time, we found the booking arrangements really easy, the info was all useful, and the maps, and the studio was perfect - seriously couldn't fault it. We go to Paris quite regularly so we will definitely be in touch to book again! In terms of restaurants, ones that we really like are: Chez Gladines - very simple south westerm French cuisine, very studenty, very cheap and great food (Rue des Cinq Diamants, 13e) Brasserie Balzar - traditional brasserie, very good food, very popular (Rue des Ecoles, 5e) Riad 27 - Moroccan, really nice food and a bit off the beaten track (Rue Madame, 7e) Chartier - great lunch spot, old soup kitchen-type building - very traditional (Rue du Faubourg Montmartre, 18e) Would suggest all of them - have been many times and always had great food!
Kind regards Claire K. , UK
Hello John, I have just returned from France and thank you , we had a wonderful time. Such a gorgeous city! The apartment was great; perfect for what we wanted, we tried to make the most of our stay, by seeing heaps of sites and getting out and about all over the city. I found your information provided very useful and we certainly used much of the information and the little local map provided. We caught the Air France bus which was most convenient and the quick access to a Metro station was great. The apartment itself was well positioned and very quiet. Equipment was fine in the apartment . All in all excellent, and I would suggest it to friends as the price and location are great. I also thought your service and booking system were user friendly. A few people have asked me how I found it, so could you please send me again the web address or link for your place.Thank you. Judith K. East Fremantle, Australia
Hi, John
> Now we are back to Auckland. Thank you very much for your lovely wine and apartment in Paris. It has everything we need there. We have passed your studio information to my two friends. They will contact you when they go to Paris. Best Regards Jing G., New Zealand
Hello John, We really enjoyed staying in the apartment....it was all that you said it would be, very nice place to stay indeed. Regards Carrie S. USA
Hi John, Having a great time in Paris, the Apartment is just what we need.. fantastic location. Alastair G, New Zealand
Hi, I had a great time in Paris and enjoyed the apartment. It's well organized and nicely decorated, with good kitchen supplies too, and in a nice area. As I've been to Paris a couple of times before I didn't spend a lot of time reading through all the info available at the apartment, though it must be enormously useful to visitors less familiar with the city. I was pleasantly surprised by how fast it was getting to the Bibliotheque Nationale at virtually the opposite end of the city--the RER/metro connections are very good there. Most of the restaurants I tried were more in the center rather than close to the apartment, though I liked the sushi place on the far end of rue de l'Arc de Triomphe (I know, nobody goes to Paris to eat sushi, but I'm a fan).I'd definitely suggest the studio to others! all the best Jeanne N. , UK
We had a great time and everything was as we expected. The booklet you left in the apartment was very helpful It came in handy. We would have no hesitation in contacting you in the future if we decide to return to Paris and we have suggested the apartment to several of our family and friends. The location is excellent. Ronnie M. Scotland
Hi John, Our week in Paris was fantastic, think we got a good week for weather too as it was blue skies and sun everyday but one.Our holiday was great. We found the apartment very easy to find. The location was perfect. The surrounding shops and resturants were delicious. Especially a Pizza resturant at the bottom of the hill then right. We would likely choose to stay in the same location on future visits to Paris. M. Gibson. UK
Hello John,
Thank you for letting us stay with you – we had a wonderful time. Restaurants we liked: Ma Bourgogne (19, place des Vosges. 75004 PARIS), traditional French cuisine, outstanding food at mid-level price, specializing in Steak tartare, great wines...takes a map to find it. The second is for Le omptoir (5, Carrefour de L'Odeon 75006 PARIS). Dinner reservations almost required, try going for lunch. The lamb is absolutely delicious, as well as the creme brulee au cafe! Kevin & Lauren Nebraska, USA
