Description of the Paris vacation apartment rental

This recently renovated ground-floor studio in the heart of the Marais looks onto a lovely 18th-century stone courtyard and is very quiet, light and airy. It is comfortablly furnished and fully equipped. You have your choice of dozens of fantastic restaurants within minutes of the studio, as well as open markets, an abundance of shops, and some of the best museums in the city. (See fuller description of area below.)

Area Description

32 rue St. Paul is located in the heart of le Marais (the 4th arrondissement), what many consider the most beautiful and historic neighborhood in Paris. Most of the buildings in the Marais date from the 17th and 18th centuries, and the narrow streets, beautiful squares, and stunning architecture provide for hours of delightful rambling and exploration. We have three metros close by: St. Paul, Pont Marie and Bastille. The studio is within easy walking distance of the Place de Vosges, the Bastille, the river Seine, Ile St.-Louis, Notre Dame, the new Paris Opera House (at Bastille), theaters, cinema, open markets and shopping of every sort (be sure to pop into the charming Village St. Paul, right across the street, with its many antique shops and cobble-stoned courtyards). You ''''''ll find a multitude of museums in the immediate vicinity: cf. especially the world-renowned Picasso Museum, the Musée Cognacq-Jay, where you not only get wonderful artworks but an 18th-century mansion, the Maison Internationale de la photographie, the Musée Victor Hugo at the Place de Vosges, the Musée Carnavalet, the latter two of which now have the added bonus of being free! Just across rue St. Antoine, the Hotel de Sully nearly always has first-rate exhibits ''''''definitely worth checking out. The Pompidou Center is also within walking distance, with its excellent Museum of Modern Art, its many permanent and special exhibits, and fabulous views.

Reviews for this vacation apartment rental in Paris, Ile de France, France

By Mike and Françoise Griffin (Arcambal, France)
This is the third or fourth time we have stayed in this lovely studio appartment in the heart of the Marais. Tastefully furnished, well-equipped, it is an ideal location from which to explore the historic centre of Paris. The local 'quartier' is bustling with life, with plenty of restaurants, take-outs, wine-bars and cafes on your doorstep. And don't miss the charming little 'Village' de St. Paul, with its lovely little antique shops. Highly recommended.

This apartment is a charming studio in a FANTASTIC neighborhood. Many restaurant, patisseries, and boulangeries only a 1-5 minute walk away. Access to the most useful metro line at the St. Paul station, only a 2 minute walk. The apartment is small, but well equipped. It's a peaceful island. Highly recommended.

I found this apartment to be just perfect for my needs and very fairly priced. The neighborhood is genuine and pleasant- close to the tourist attractions but far enough away to escape. The owner was surprisingly helpful and sincerely interested in making my stay easy and comfortable. I would not hesitate to rent this apartment again.
