The apartment sits in a registered historical building dated 1663 and was fully restored in February 2003 with an eye for elegant details (antiques, exposed beams and white walls, arched picture windows, terra-cotta).

For visitors who wish to explore Paris on foot, this is an excellent point from which to do so, for the marvelous Marais district includes the Place des Vosges, Picasso Museum, Carnavalet Museum, Hotel de Ville and of course the Louvre. From your doorstep, in around 5 minutes on foot you are also at the Seine River, crossing onto the Islands to visit Notre Dame and the Ile Saint-Louis, the Latin Quarter and Saint-Germain des Pres. All major attractions in the center of Paris are thus within walking distance.
