Charming one-bed apartment in romantic Montmartre
This one-bedroom apartment is typically Parisian with its original features intact: marble fireplaces, oakwood floors, plaster mouldings. From the balcony you have a wonderful view of the Moulin de la Galette, one of Montmartre's famous windmills, and the domes of the Sacre Coeur Basilica, which is just a two-minute walk away!
The 40 m2 (430 sq feet) apartment comprises a living room, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, entry hallway and walk-in closet. Sleeps 2-4.
It's the perfect place for a romantic getaway or a family holiday. Live like a Parisian while on vacation!
Your Paris vacation home is just a two-minute walk from the Place du Tertre and the Sacré Coeur (which you can see from the balcony) and all the sights made familiar by the film Amelie from Montmartre. This end of the rue Lepic is the quieter end. So while you're just minutes from all the sights of Montmartre, you're away from the noise of the
Montmartre cemetery is down the road from the apartment and is a fascinating place to explore. It's the final resting place for, among others: painter and sculptor Edgar Degas, composer Hector Berlioz, film-maker François Truffaut, physicist Jean-Bernard Foucault, Russian ballet dancer Nijinski, cabaret dancer La Goulue (Louise Weber, often painted by Toulouse Lautrec), and writer Stendhal (Henri Beyle).

A perfect spot for a short break without the confinement of hotel accommodation. Montmartre has the atmosphere of a small village whilst being within easy striking distance of Paris and beyond. Local nightlife is abundant - the restaurants are super leave aside the Moulin Rouge!
The apartment can comfortably sleep a family of 4, and the WIFI internet access is a real bonus. Overall strongly recommended for a short break.

Have had a wonderful time in Paris once again - it is still such a wonderful place. Have eaten far too much (but then again have walked miles - maybe walked it off?)
The apartment is great - loved looking out the windows at the passing world - very quiet for its location. It had all we needed for our 8 day stay...
Merci beaucoup. - Jennifer & Pillip, Canberra, Australia. Sept 2007
Location, location, location. We have just spent 12 days in Elaine's truly Parisian apartment. Where artists work away in their studios below, where you can walk two minutes up the hill to get your fresh baguettes, where your nearest mini-mart is the grocers from the film "Amelie". Only five minutes walk to "Amelie's" cafe.
Probably a hundred cafes and bars within easy walking distance. Broadband facility a great asset for planning trips, weather etc. And keeping teens amused when mum and dad are exhausted from touristing.
A couple of good trips with teens. Paris Catacombs and an introduction to D-Day and the landing beaches up in Normandy. Try Segway tours for an easy day out on the train for the latter. Moulin Rouge also great for teens - also in walking distance. Have fun. - Dave, Jan & Martin, Cyprus. Aug 2007
The moment I walked inside, I felt like I walked into my new home. We enjoyed the area and it's accessibility to Paris central. Opening the window and looking down into the street scenes was entertaining. Great restaurants and shops nearby to make life easy. Of course we did not have enough time and will make every effort to return soon. -Cynthia Kelley, Seattle Washington. July 2007
We just loved Paris; and Romantic Monmartre was a perfect base from which to explore. Set away from the hordes of tourists flocking to the Sacre Coeur, the apartment is on a quiet, cobbled street and provides a real slice of Paris life. The apartment was comfortably furnished and well equipped and we would definitely base ourselves here again and would also recommend the apartment to friends. Monmartre is completely self-contained, with great restaurants, delis and atmosphere. But still it is a brisk walk downhill or easy metro ride to the Seine and the Centre of Paris. We walked the length and breadth of Paris - which is a wonderful city - but returning to Monmartre at the end of the day was a real pleasure. Thanks Elaine for your wonderful hospitality. -The Reubens and Ross, Bucks, UK and Auckland, NZ
Lovely apartment, full of character in near perfect location. In short - everything you'd need for a memorable Paris Trip. -Mo Reid, Glasgow
Lovely apartment, especially enjoyed breakfast on the balcony! Great welcome too. Thank you so much. Ingrid & Johnny
This really is what you imagine a romantic apartment in Paris to be, but so few actually are. The location couldn't be better - a few minutes stroll from Sacre Coeur, and half a minute to the nearest excellent restaurant. Lots of shopping, too, and the apartment itself is bright and airy and spacious ... the only sound to wake you in the morning is the birds in the courtyard behind, and the view is genuinely fab - highly recommended! - Brenda, Ireland
Lovely apartment! Charming location! We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the range of excellent restaurants nearby. Annie, Ireland
