This was the most memorable family vacation we have ever had. We arrived December 24th to an incredible powdery snowfall, absolutely perfect for the skiing we all enjoyed. The cabin was beautiful, clean, and well supplied with top of the line appliances, etc., etc. The location and view was terrific with plenty of room for all eleven of us, from grandparents, daughters & son's-in-law, to five children ranging in age 11, 9, 7, 5 & 11 mos. The home had three levels with plenty of room for everyone, complete with flat screen TV, Internet access, pool table & plenty of games to keep the children entertained when we were at the cabin. Lots of outdoor activities nearby in Park city & Sundance Resort - skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing, ice skating, train tour thru mountains in Heber with breathtaking scenery. Couldn't have asked for a more wonderful Christmas with family. The owner was accommodating and helpful in every way and would highly recommend this vacation home to everyone.

Mountain Chalet at Acorn Way, December 29, 2008
By Camille (Lindon, Utah USA)
We stayed at the Mountain Chalet on Acorn Way just prior to Christmas. We had a wonderful time. We had a winter storm hit us which gave us fresh snow for our winter activities of snowmobiling and sledding. The hot tub and fire were great to come home to after a day in the cold. The description was accurate the property was clean and well-maintained. I would recommend this property to a friend.

Great place in Heber, December 16, 2008
By Chris (Los Angeles, CA USA)
Our family stayed in this cabin Thanksgiving week 2008. We had a great time. The cabin is clean, comfortable, and is in a great location. The management staff was extremely helpful during the booking and during the stay. I am sure we will stay at this place again. The best thing about the cabin was the layout. The worst thing about it... it did not snow while we were there. Next time! Chris and Family

Nice place that's not too far from Park City. Private setup +++. Must have an SUV for the winter and the deer on the road can be a pain. Fast deposit refund-love the quick response. Great place to rent for a large group.

 Family Reunion, January 4, 2008
By Toni Lund (St. George, UT)
We had such a great time at your cabin. It was a first family reunion for us and it was so nice to be in one place and not have any concerns. The kids loved the Wii, we hardly saw them. The appliances were great, nice and new and we had so many dishes and cooking utensils. The views were great and the snow was wonderful. We had a lot of fun snowmobiling and 4-wheeling. It was so beautiful when the sun was shining on the snow. We could not have picked a better week to come. Thanks so much

Excellent Christmas Cabin, January 2, 2008
By Jeffh (San Clemente, CA)
This cabin is in an excellent location. Closer down to the gate so it is easier to get to, especially in the weather, but the way it is situated, you still feel secluded. Lots of amenities that were used frequently, snow hills right next to the cabin for the little ones.

By Eli Lovett (SLC, UT)
We had our wedding and reception at this house. It was amazing! We stayed for four days and had everything from the rehersal dinner to wedding ceramony and rehersal there. It was large enough to accomidate 60 friends and family for the evening! A great dinner and a bluegrass band. We had a casual wedding but I definatly encourge others to try this site for a relaxed family party...we had one to remember! Love, Eli and Eddie

 Wonderful Escape, July 8, 2007
By Mandy (Salt Lake City, Utah)
John- Your cabin was wonderful. My husband and I just needed a place to get away for the weekend, somewhere close yet far enough from the headache down in the city. Big beautiful windows let the sun in to wake us naturally. The deck was a great place to sit and star gaze at night. Your kitchen was great. The new appliances made breakfast a snap to make and clean up! Also, we love board games and you have a great selection! We hope that we can come up again soon, for longer this time and enjoy that cozy feeling of being away in a cabin. Thank you.

 Great Place, June 17, 2007
By Ann Thomas (SLC, UT USA)
The rental home at Timberlakes was just the thing this past Christmas. My family wanted to get away from all the craziness of the city for the holiday and your home was PERFECT! It had all the amenities of home, and the setting was incredible-a true winterwonderland. We were close enough to Park City that it wasn't time consuming to go skiing and shopping. Originally we planned on eating out-since we were on vacation, but the Kitchen had everything we needed to cook and the kids thought the best part was time spent together for meals. If we timed it right we could eat while we watched the sun go down and that was spectacular! But the best part for me was the fact that the master bedroom was far enough away from the family room that the noise of four boys never bothered us once! We just wanted to thank you. Glad we had a four wheel SUV to make it in and out on snowy days.....since the driveway is a bit steep. We hope to book early enough next year for Christmas 2008! Sincerely Ann Thomas

John,
Thank you for the very nice time we had at your cabin. The view was beautiful and we had a deer run right through the yard! My granddaughters loved the slide off of the lower deck & the air hockey. I loved just sitting on the deck & relaxing. Thanks again for the nice get away!

Carla Crossley - August '07
Thank you for letting us enjoy your beautiful cabin for our special family to be together for a few days. We enjoyed the canyon, the deer across the ravine, the sound of the creek at times. The cool evenings were great we enjoyed the train ride, but mostly the canyon. Thank You!

Ralph & Roxey Washburn Family Reunion - August 07

We enjoyed staying in your beautiful cabin. The accommodations were wonderful and everyone had a great time. It was fun to watch for deer. It was a nice place to get away from it all for a few days. Jim and LuAnn Keate - July 07
We had a wonderful time staying in your beautiful cabin. The views were gorgeous and we saw lots of deer. Missed out on the moose. We enjoyed hiking to the creek and shooting paint balls. The game table was enjoyed by all even my 80 year old mother played a game of pool. The cool nights were very refreshing. Thanks!

Debra Demille Family Reunion - Colorado - July 07
Nice cabin. We had a wonderful time. We saw a dead skunk on the road and a rabbit which was alive. Enjoyed the stars at night and the cool night temps. Thank you!
Andrew and Joanna Preece - Aug 07
A nice area. The view of the mountain was great. We did see deer. Hope they never have a major forest fire. It would be devastating in this area. Rowley Family - Aug 07
Love this place! We had a wonderful time….Great for wildlife, sighting, hiking, etc. Hope they’ll minimize development. The deer are losing their habitat.
Tolks, Ludlows and Suttongs – Hong Kong & Las Vegas - Aug 07
We had a great adventure in the Heber/Park City Area. Thank you for the good accommodations. Hope they don’t overbuild Timberlakes so the deer and other wildlife keep coming.
Astrid Tuminez – Hong Kong - Aug 07
John, Your cabin is simply wonderful! The cabin was amazing, gorgeous and we loved it. We may very well return next summer - hopefully with more people though since it's a large cabin for only two or three people. My 16 yr old daughter walked in - eventually going downstairs and then proclaimed, "I want to live here!"
Dee Key, Texas
John,

We had a great stay. We loved the wildlife we saw. We saw a mother deer with with babies. I have never seen a baby deer nurse from it's mother. Also, I have never seen a doe with three babies.

The cabin was awesome. It was nice having three floors. The teenagers stayed downstairs, the adults on the main floor and the 2 younger children 6 and 10 years old played up in the loft. We never had anyone under foot!

It was awesome having a washer and dryer at the cabin. This was the first time I went home with no laundry to wash once I got home.

It was just a short drive to Deer Creek where we used our boat every day. We also brought our 4 wheelers. It was nice driving around looking at the lakes and the other cabins in the neighborhood.

I like to drink water with ice cubes so the extra trays in the freezer were a nice treat.

Thanks for a great stay!!!!!!

Laura Wood
John,

Staying at your home was one of the best vacation decisions we've made recently. Rather than cramming a family of five into motel rooms, we had the space of home. Your place worked exceptionally well for us. It was very comfortable, adequately furnished, and provided the space and privacy we needed. We would definitely consider staying at your home again, and would recommend it to other families as well.
