Description of the Park City vacation condo rental
These AAA 4-Star Condo Hotel is located at The Canyons Resort in Park City, Utah. The Canyons is the largest ski resort in Utah and 5th largest in North America. Ski Magazine recently rated all 3 Park City ski mountains in the Top 50 in North America for 2006. The Grand Summit was home to the "Today Show" for more than 2 weeks during the 2002 winter olympics. The Grand Summit Hotel also hosted one of the final episodes for ABC's "The Bachelor" in 2004. Proving that The Canyons and The Grand Summit lodging offers a superior product.
The Canyons in Park City is a year round resort. Units GS 539 & 541 offer the best in Park City Lodging. This Grand Summit Utah condo offers many features that the other Grand Summit units don't. You have the opportunity of renting direct from the owners. My wife and I have made many upgrades to the unit that distinguish it from other Grand Summit lodging. Some of those upgrades include flat screen TV's in the living room and loft, privacy blinds and a Murphy bed to convert the loft into second bedroom, "Classy Closets" redesign of closet space, added furniture to accommodate clothing storage. Lastly, we have added some nice decorative finishing touches to make your vacations that much more comfortable.
Units advantages; this very large (1386 sq/ft) 5th floor condo with breath taking views is only steps to the elevator that takes you to the lobby, reading room, spa and restaurants. The "Flight of the Canyons" gondola is 25 steps from the mountain doors and ski valet. Do not under estimate the convenience of being on the Gondola literally 5 minutes after you leave GS 539 & 541. This 5 minutes allows time the stop by the ski valet to collect your board or skis. The only problem with true ski-in/ski-out is that you will never want to go back to those great condo's even a hundred yards away from the main resort lift. Given that you are back in you unit faster than anyone else coming off the mountain you get to chose from many apres ski options. The Canyons Forum offers pubs, dining shopping and more. This is in addition to the great bar and restaurant in the Grand Summit Hotel. Free, frequent bus service to PCMR, Deer Valley and many other attractions in the Park City area. The bus stop is just steps from the Grand Summit Condo.
This large 2 story unit sleeps 6+ guests comfortably. The Master Bedroom has a King bed, large closet, armoire with TV and balcony access. The loft includes a Queen sleeper sofa, a Queen Murphy bed which acts as separate sleeping area when the privacy blinds are closed and full 2nd bathroom with another large closet. In the Living room there are 2 (very comfortable) built-in Day Beds and a Queen sleeper sofa.
The full kitchen and bathrooms have granite counter tops. The Dining table has room for 8. Enjoy the comfort of the living room fireplace and plenty of foyer closet space.
On the first floor you will find a full service health spa (great choices of massages and facials) and well-equipped fitness center. Yoga and pilates classes meet regularly. A large outdoor year-round heated pool with 3 hot tubs, steam room and sauna are available for you pleasure.
Children under 7 years of age ski free when an adult ticket is shown. The Canyons has a top rated ski school and a drop off is located in the Grand Summit Hotel . A fantastic Day Care program is also available in the Hotel.
Heated under-ground valet parking is available.
We are very trust worthy owners and you can see our feedback on our owner direct rental site. We are SquareTrade certified.
I have access to discounted ski lift tickets with no restrictions please check tab for Discounted Lift Tickets.
Rates range from $100/night to $650/night depending on time of year. You will notice how favorably the rates compare with other Ski-in/Ski-out Canyons lodging or other Park City lodging. Just another benefit of renting direct from owner. Daily maid service required.
Winter or summer, The Canyons and Park City is wonderful.

Area Description
The Canyons
The Canyons boasts over 3,700 acres with 163 trails, 17 lifts and 2 terrain parks, making it Utah’s largest ski and snowboard resort area. Surrounding the resort are 5 world-class lodges (several more are under construction) along with many restaurants, shops, services and après-ski diversions. Located 10 minutes from Main Street and 5 minutes from Kimball Junction, it is also close to all that Park City has to offer.
During the summer, The Canyons is a great place for hiking, biking, disc golf and horse back riding. The ridge trail along the top of the resort has some of the best views in the area. More relaxed activities include riding the Cabriolet, or taking the gondola up to mid mountain where you can have lunch at Red Pine Café.
“Of all the resorts in the state, the most distinctive must be The Canyons. The Canyons is five distinct ski areas encompassed into a single resort. Its unique topography and variety of offerings separates it from many of the other mountains in Utah. If you want to get a taste of everything in one single resort, The Canyons might be your best choice.
Each of its areas provides a unique component of snowboarding and skiing. From delicate glades of trees to open bowl skiing, The Canyons has it all. Their five different areas feel like a menu of choices where you get to select your favorite. With this kind of variety, a visitor could get spoiled.
To provide their visitor with the entire vacation experience, The Canyons has developed a large area at the base of the resort that hosts a large variety of shops, restaurants, and bars, plus their beautiful new lodges. They host concerts and special events and have worked hard to make their base area a hub of activity.
In all, The Canyons provides its guests with the complete ski vacation. A large mountain, great variety of terrain, vibrant activities, and amazing mountainside hotels are all part of the experience. If you are seeking all the elements for a unique vacation experience, look no further than The Canyons.”
Killer Mountain. Though embroiled in a property dispute, The Canyons is hoping its new owners, Talisker, a private investment firm from Canada, can help refocus skiers’ attention back to the mountain. Which continues to grow and improve each season. A gigantic area filled with excellent north-facing glades, immaculate high-speed groomers, and some of the best backcountry access in the state, The Canyons is among the more under appreciated resorts in the Wasatch. Head up to the never-crowded Ninety-nine 90 lift, where skier’s left you will find the area’s best vertical and most challenging terrain. At the top of this lift is a short bootpack up to a backcountry gate, leading to wild untouched snow. Numerous tours await out the gate, but bring your avalanche safety gear. Don’t be lulled into complacency due to its proximity to the resort.
Whats New: The Tombstone to Iron Mountain quad will carry skiers over a half mile across the resort, eliminating a long traverse at the end of the day.
Inside Line: Utah residents, with valid I.D. can get a season pass (called the Cherry Picker), with blackout dates, for as low as $199. It’ll help free-up cash for lunches at the Lookout Cabin. Try the cheeseburger, if you can get your mouth around it.

My family stayed in Scott's unit over New Years 2009. The unit is very well appointed and maintained. The Grand Summit's location is the best and their staff was beyond cooperative and helpful. Scott paid for the daily cleaning which was a nice bonus. I used Scott's reccommendation for discounted tickets at the outlet mall and saved a lot. I would recommend The Canyons and this rental.

Scott,
We are having a wonderful time at the Grand Summit in your beautiful condo! We travel frequently and do not often find a place that has NOTHING to complain about! I can honestly say that we have found that place. Your kitchen is well stocked with all the necessities..plus more, the built-in shelving in all the closets makes unpacking a breeze, the extra vanity in the upstairs bath is a real bonus (especially with us all rushing to hit the slopes), and I have yet to find an uncomfortable bed, chair, or sofa in the entire unit! We visit Park City yearly and love the location of the GS. It is halfway between "old town" and all the newer shopping venues on the outskirts. We love the Redstone shopping area and who can resist at least one stop at the outlets! In Park City, we highly recommend the Blind Dog for dinner although most any place on Main Street will not disappoint.
Thanks again for allowing us to stay at your special place. We will return!

Scott, I just wanted to let you know that we really enjoyed Park City, and your condo was spectacular. The Canyons Grand Summit was top shelf. The building had a small water problem on the morning of 8/10 so we had to shower in the spa, but otherwise everything was fine. I'll keep your
contact information in case we ever decide to return in the winter (I'm still trying to talk my wife into it!). Thanks again.

My family of 4 had a great spring break week at the Horton's place. The Condo at Grand Summit is located steps from the gondola and has great amenities including a large pool with three spas. The Horton's were very professional and exceptionally responsive to questions and requests. When we come back we will be giving the Horton's a call.

The condo was beautiful and well-appointed and our clear, blue skies made for a lovely, summer vacation. Park City is perfect for a host of outdoor acitivites: mountain biking, hiking, hot air ballooning, white water rafting, etc. In addition, the Canyons has a great pool and spa. It's a terrific spot.

Our stay was excellent and the accomodations that we rented from Scott were perfect and spacious. The Grand Summit was a good location but the staff was not very informative. This is probably due to our stay was mid December and most of the staff had just started.
We tried all the ski resorts and spent alot of time in downtown Park City. What a fun place for adults and kids.

Dear Scott and Mitzi,
Thank you so much for letting us stay at your condo at the Grand Summit. Everything was perfect. The unit was spacious and very comfortable for our family of 7. The hotel and its staff were very accomodating, the service was excellent. And my children especially enjoyed the pool and hot tubs. They couldn't get enough. Our stay at the Canyons was during Sundance and that added another dimension of excitement to our vacation. We all had a great time. It was one of our best ski trips and we cant wait to do it again!
Thanks again,

Scott, Your unit is beautiful, we had a great stay overall. I did have engineering adjust the airconditioning as the room would not cool down sufficiently. Wayne Souza (Head of Engineering)also came up and we had a nice talk about the back up chiller system etc. He seems to be managing the G. S. very well. Unit 541 is so very well appointed, we didn't need to ask for a single thing during our stay. We highly recommend a stay in this one bedroom two bath loft!

Driving up the entrance to the Canyons, we were in awe of the beauty of the mountains and the hotel. Imagine when we pulled up the bell hop not only took our luggage, lots of it too, they also took our groceries. The valet parked the car and we headed empty handed to a late lunch. Our stay was amazing. The staff was extremely accommodating and the mountain had enough terrain for our varied skier/board abilities. What could be better than walking out the door, riding all day and then lounging by the pool? We'll be back. Thanks.
