It would have been nice seeing that each suite had its on hot tub, but the hot tub jet buttons were broken, hairs on sheets on bed, and when trying to extend check out time because needed time to pack up we were told it would be $50 fee
Westgate is vacation heaven!

Loved our stay at the Westgate Lodge!!! The main reason why I gave a 4 star rating instead of 5 star is because I think they could do a better job providing information/details before we arrived as first time visitors. Like the location in relation to the red pine gondola, was amazingly convenient but we didn't realize that until we walked out the door. So it's not a knock on the place, they just need to do a better job at selling the place! The amenities at Westgate make the mountain experience so much better and are so incredibly convenient plus the staff is always helpful. The hot tubs + pool facilities never felt crowded (though some times broken). The ski valet was perfect as they deliver the skis right to the gondola. And the ski lockers were a great feature as well. It would have been nice to know a bit more about the surrounding shops and restaurants prior to arrival as well. Knowing this info ahead of time would be a great selling point. But if we had any questions, they were quickly answered. The room was great but the size was a bit misleading with the title "Deluxe Hotel Suite" and it turned out to be a studio. A little miscommunication but not a big deal. It would have been nice to see a floor plan. There were plenty of signs throughout the complex and maps hanging so it made it convenient to find our way around being there for the first time. The complex is huge!
