Description of the Patillas vacation home rental

Walking Distance to the Beach. Beach Gate on the back yard. Full Bathroom close to the Beach. Parking for up to 8 cars inside the property and 4 cars in front of the property. Family Room. 4 Bedrooms for a total of 3 king size, 3 full size & 1 Twin size beds (we have extra matress too). 3 of the Bedrooms have their own private bathroom. 2 of the Bedrooms have walking closet. Fully Furnished & linens. Slidding glass windows around the house to view the Caribbean Sea.

Area Description

Peacefully & private place around the coast of the Caribbean Sea. 20 mins from the nearest shopping mall (west direction), 15 mins from "Potrero Don Mickey" where horses are rented for horseback ridding (to the west too), 10 mins from Maunabo Lighthouse(going east), 10 mins from Patillas rivers & lake and Guavate & Carite Rain Forest Park (going north), and 30 secs walking distance to the beach (going south). You will find Surfing areas within 5 minutes ride in east & west direction, as well as multiple local Sea Food Restaurants. You can snorkling in the beach that is in the back of the house.

Family Beach Vacation, April 5, 2009

Sr. Palau was a wonderful and attentive host who greeted us warmly at 2am and had stocked the kitchen with necessities. The house is very large, comfortable for two families, and well stocked. It does need some updating and maintenance. (The outdoor bathroom was not working and the indoor bathrooms and stove were finicky). There is adequate air conditioning, but if you would prefer the breeze, most windows do not have screens. The beach view is lovely, but this is NOT a swimming beach and can not be walked on without shoes. We found a great swimming beach about ten minutes away, and passed a great children's playground on the way. There is no internet access in the nearby areas, and the larger shopping centers are about 20mns away. There is no electric dryer, but the outdoor breeze was sufficient. This is an ideal spot for families familiar with the island who do not mind a car ride to find a swimming beach.
