We had a great time!

A week ago I was on the balcony looking at the emerald Caribbean and the breaking surf at Villas Linda and Manuel, and it was 23 c with a clear sky. Today at home in Minneapolis It is 30 f. We’d stay there again and expect the facilities will get a somewhat needed upgrade. My sister-in-law said she saw a rat the last day. She’s 83 years old, I never saw a rat, but something was gnawing on our bread. Good idea to remind us to keep stuff in the refrigerator, there is good supermarket shopping nearby. Manual, a Bucknell graduate, worked for a New York consulting company and Linda among many things growing up in NYC with Puerto Rican parents, was a tour boat captain. It is their third year in business. They invested in this seaside resort in the last corner of the island to be developed and operate an authentic traditional Puerto Rican beachside resort in the Patillas and Yabucoa district. While the property is on the ocean, it didn’t actually have a beach you could lay down on the sand was washed away by a hurricane several years ago and today it is a beach of loose rock and okay for getting in to dive on the reef right off shore or fish. I can count six great beaches, some deserted, low surf and high surf that are within 7 miles of the. My group a tourists from the upper-48 were a couple in their 80’s, and three 60 +ers, we found the compound relatively quiet and clean with plenty of hot water. Although Monday night after a three day weekend the traffic was

We had such a Great time. We had the place all to ourselves. The owner & her family were just so friendly & made us feel like we were family as well. We will definitely go there again & who knows we may even have a wedding there in the near future. We have recommended this place to all our family & friends. Linda Solis is a very warm & down to earth person. We just Love her to pieces. ;-)

My family and I stayed at Villa's Linda 10 wonderful days. The hospitality provided by Linda and Emanuel was outstanding. Linda and Emanuel are very friendly, giving and they did more for us then we ever expected. Linda made hot dogs, hamburgers and virgen pina Coladas for my the kids. She cook a delicious seafood soup and stuffed clams especially for us. She is a great cook. I have since emailed her asking for the soup recipe. My family had an instant conection with Linda and Emanuel. We plan to keep in touch..During our stay at Villa's Linda we set foot into the apt only to sleep and shower. During the day we'd go out sight seeing but could not wait to get back to Linda's paradise to enjoy the relaxation, hammock hanging from the palm trees, the breathless ocean view and sound of the waves. This was Heaven and better then any of the sight seeing places we visited. Family members from the area stayed with us the entire time because they loved Villa's Linda. A family member took us to all the area hotels to show us that none can be compared to the beauty, amenities and hospitality provided at Villa's Linda. Linda made special accommodation for us to move from the 2nd floor unit to the 1st floor that is wheelchair accesible to accommodate my mother in law who is wheelchair dependent. We plan to go back there in a year. We highly recommend Villa's Linda and give it 2 thumbs up. A special Thanks to Linda and Emanuel from Millie, Miguel and Jaylene.

Interior was nothing as depicted on website. Because of the conditions, we refused the accomodations. I took photos of the villa interior. Linda promised to refund deposit, that did not happen. Vacation Home Rentals should be a little more selective in their listings given the fact that we drove almost 2 hours to get to Patillas, and then had to find last minute accomodations elsewhere. I will send the photos to show this is no exaggeration.

This was a great place to stay. The villa was comfortable and the ocean view was spectacular. Owners are fabulous and kind. And the cooking is fantastic! I will definitely return.

The owners of the lovely oceanside Linda's Villas are the most gracious and accommodating hosts we have met in many travels. I hesitate to share because I want to keep them a secrect, but I also want them to stay in business. Linda & Manuel prepared 2 excellent dinners of local cuisines for us that I rate 4 star. Their location is away from the hustle&bustle of the more commercial areas. For us the perfect location and truly on the beach. We met a few of the local people, did a lot of sight-seing and wished we could stay longer. We would return in a heart beat.
surprising- but awesome

I'd like to state that my vacation was booked else where down the road.....my other half and I walked down the beach and saw this spot and stopped in for a drink- we later packed up our things and stayed our last 3 nights here and extended i more night stay because the hospitality was just awesome! The Food was exceptional! Thanks Linda & Manuel for your personal attention- your arrangements to Vieques were exactly what we needed....... Will be Back in Sept. and plan our wedding there!

We stayed at the Casa Esmarelda when staying in Puerto Rico for a wedding. The house is so very perfect - great layout, the patio is sublime and the ocean breezes just perfect. The kitchen has everything one would need to cook any meals desired - and with the [ark next door, rather than another house, hanging out in the back has a very secluded feel. I would VERY HIGHLY recommend this rental to anyone wanting to stay on in the southeast of Puerto Rico. Nicholas & Jess

Although the owners were friendly and nice, that was the only good impression left by our stay. The unit was lacking in every way. There was no toaster, no oven, and the cooktop was a two burner hotplate sitting on top of what at one time was a cooktop. This was the dirtiest place we have every stayed in. It was filthy. Grime so bad on the floors we would not go barefoot. The amenities listing is very misleading. The items may be available for the asking; however, they are not in the units. The rate shown is not for a 3 bedroom; it is for a 1 bedroom, which was also misleading. All said, I would not recommend this to anyone. We were totally disappointed.
On behalf of myself and my partner as owners we would like to state that any and all negative reviews are unwarrented and not to defamate the character of those guests, their retaliation had no merit and there were reasons why they were not welcomed as guests of Villas Linda as we have a reputation within our community and have run a successful inn. Mrs. Caban was a neighbor of the Agostos and came in a day after and stayed a day after and for some reason didn't experience what they did. With that, I welcome any inquiry to request further info from any guest. Thank you for your time- should those prefer a place outside of a family oriented environment, I suggest you not send me an inquiry.
Thank you again
Karen Spence who stayed for 2 months is on her way back for a minimum stay of 3-4 months due to the tranquility, cleanliness, friendly bi-lingual staff where she can be assured to complete her writings in a safe and relaxed family oriented environment.
