This is a small fishing village but close to casinos, hiking, shopping, rivers, horseback, kayaking,lakes, golf,surfing,snorkeling, museums, etc.

There are pristine beaches nearby and only 45 mins. to the $2.00 ferry service to our sister islands Vieques or Culebra to view the best biophospherescent bay!

The owners of the lovely oceanside Linda's Villas are the most gracious and accommodating hosts we have met in many travels. I hesitate to share because I want to keep them a secrect, but I also want them to stay in business. Linda & Manuel prepared 2 excellent dinners of local cuisines for us that I rate 4 star. Their location is away from the hustle&bustle of the more commercial areas. For us the perfect location and truly on the beach. We met a few of the local people, did a lot of sight-seing and wished we could stay longer. We would return in a heart beat.

I'd like to state that my vacation was booked else where down the road.....my other half and I walked down the beach and saw this spot and stopped in for a drink- we later packed up our things and stayed our last 3 nights here and extended i more night stay because the hospitality was just awesome! The Food was exceptional! Thanks Linda & Manuel for your personal attention- your arrangements to Vieques were exactly what we needed....... Will be Back in Sept. and plan our wedding there!

We stayed at the Casa Esmarelda when staying in Puerto Rico for a wedding. The house is so very perfect - great layout, the patio is sublime and the ocean breezes just perfect. The kitchen has everything one would need to cook any meals desired - and with the [ark next door, rather than another house, hanging out in the back has a very secluded feel. I would VERY HIGHLY recommend this rental to anyone wanting to stay on in the southeast of Puerto Rico. Nicholas & Jess
