Area Information

~~"Hummingbird Ranch Vacation House" is nestled in the lovely Sulphur Springs Valley, Pearce Ariozna 85625. We are considered Southeastern Arizona.

~~We are known for the winter bird migration. Sandhill Cranes, Eagles, Owls, Hawks, Hummingbirds, Sparrows, Roadrunners, Gimbal Quail and many, many more call our valley homeThe Jack Rabbits and Coyote, will surely but a smile on your face.

~~We live where 2 famous Indian Trible Chiefs made their homes, Geronimo and Cochise. Our property has great views of both mountain areas where they made their homes. Left side of our vacation house looks at the Cochise Stronghold Dome, a beautiful rugged rock outfacing, that you can see clear over to Sierra Vista and I-10. The right side of our house, the Chiricahua's. There is a top of the mountain that has Geronimo face carved on top. Very neat to see in person.

~~The Sulphur Springs Valley is named from the special springs that the Indians used and soon the army and people far and wide eventually used to. Many of our mountains still have the grindings bowls found today. These areas are fenced off to protect what is left.

Thank you for the best time at your vacation ranch. I enjoyed that the property is fully fenced and gated. Made me feel safe. I loved the dark nights and the stars. We had a total blast.
Will be back in 6 months.

Thank
Wendy

Thank you for the best time at your place. The birds were at their best. The Sandhill Cranes were calling out all morning. I just love the birds. Your place looks great. I wish you could come to my house and design.

Thanks,

Julia

Frequently Asked Questions

Q:What are the most fun things to do at your vacation home?
A:So many things to say. We love to hike, bike and mountain climb. We enjoy going to the near by Ghost towns and Tombstone. Just sitting in a chair with a cold drink in your hand and looking at all of the beauty around the Hummingbird Ranch is the best. Don't forget the dark and starry nights. Grilling is the best too! Horseback riding at Anne's, the Rancher next door, is great too! She is a great cook!
Q:What makes your Vacation Home special?
A:Well appointed with everything you need. Very relaxing. Doing nothing, sometimes is what the body needs the most. With 360 degree of different mountain views, plants and animals to look at, what else is there to need!
Q:Where should we go and should we do, during our stay?
A:Run a search on Cochise County. Print off everything that interest you. And go from there. In 7 years, my husband and I still have not seen everything! A must is Kartchner Caverns, Tombstone and our Ghost Towns of Pearce, Courtland and Gleeson. Pearce even has one of the original gold mine's in the country. It was the largest producing mine in the United States at one time. In Gleeson, Tiffany's of New York use to mine Turquoise. Look around the grounds. You can still find pieces laying on the ground. Cochise Stronghold National Park and the Chiricahua National Monument.
Q:Is your property good for Bird Watching?
A:Yes, Yes, and Yes. We are ground zero for the winter bird migration. Birds from all over the world call Arizona home for the winter. Every year, we see a new bird we have never seen before. Besides our property, Whitewater Draw is down the road from us. as well as the Willcox Playa the other direction up Kansas Settlement Road or Twin Lakes. So much wildlife and reptiles, you will have stories to tell when you return home
Q:Is your property good for Star Gazing?
A:Our area has a lighting ordinance and our skies are super dark to allow the best viewing of our galaxy. The milky way is sometimes over our house. Very private. You can even fall to sleep at night watching the stars through the window from bed.
Q:Will I have privacy at Hummingbird Ranch?
A:Yes! We own 15 fenced and gated acres for you to enjoy. Open fields of beautiful desert landscape surround our vacation home. In Arizona, there is so much State and Federally own land, we have lots beautiful landscapes for you to see!

Breathing clean freah mountain air is a extra thrill too! One can never see and do everything in just one trip out. In 7 years, we still haven't ...
