Description of the Pecatonica vacation cabin rental

This is a small cabin on the Pecatonica river. Beautiful rural site. Large enclosed deck that you can sit back and enjoy the sounds of nature. Full bathroom and kitchen. There is a loft in which you can sleep or the pull out couch. There is a bike trail right across the river which goes to rockford and freeport. My favorite times are sitting around the fire and listening to the coyotes howl in the distance. Lots of wildlife (as well as some of the neighbors peacocks that will wonder around for bread).

Area Description

It is a very rural setting about thirty minutes from Rockford Illinois and about twenty minutes from Freeport Illinois. An easy location to take a day trip to Galena, Dubuque, or Monroe. You can also take the river drive down to Dixon and see the boyhood home of Ronald Reagan. Plenty of things to do in the area. Even better, just sit and relax.

Very close to Pecatonica Illinois which has some small shops and restaurants.
