Description of the Pembroke vacation cabin rental

$675.00 will rent you two small cabins on Lake Pennamaquan in Charlotte, Maine. These two cabins will sleep a total of 7 - 10 people comfortably. Each cabin is completely furnished; all you will need to bring is food and yourselves. This is a very quiet area with a small lake (approx. 1 mile wide and 3 miles long) that is good for fishing, water sports etc. The property is completely fenced and dogs/cats are welcome. One of the cabins has a wood stove and each of them has a small propane heater. Each cabin has a screened-in porch. For more information or deals on two weeks or more rental, please call or email. Even in the summer you should have a light jacket with you as it does get cool most nights. There are a number of restaurants in Calais as well as a couple on the way there on Rt. 1. This is a very relaxing place!

Area Information

This is an area with a lot of little towns nearby. If you want to go over into Canada (New Brunswick), Calais is only 20 minutes away. You will need your Passport to get into Canada. Eastport is approx. 25 minutes and Machias is about 45. Bar Harbor is a leisurely two hour drive along the coast. This area is blueberry country as well as having a cranberry bog (I think it's still there)between Machias and Cherryfield.

Secluded and Comfy

We stayed in the red cabin for a week. The view to the lake is beautiful. Coffee on the screened in porch in the quiet morning was a perfect way to start the day. The loons kept us company and the fenced yard was great for our dogs. It is secluded and comfortable. Eastport is close by and the Bold Coast not too far. Great spot to use as a base camp to explore both the coast and lakes of northern Maine.

The pictures just don't do these cottages justice! They are spotless, cozy, well-furnished, and so comfortable. If you are looking for peace & quiet then this is the place for you! The fenced-in yard makes it the perfect place to stay if you have young children. We had a wonderful vacation and will definately rent here again!

My wife and I stayed in the red log cabin for a week in August. It was simply wonderful. Fishing is about 50 feet from the front door and the view from the screened porch was priceless. We were only minutes from town (Calais) and the Canadian border. Eastport, Machias and many other beautiful coastal towns and fishing villages, including Acadia and Bar Harbor, is only a short drive. If you like seafood, you will thoroughly enjoy yourself. With the exception of groceries and libations, a very gracious host strives to have at your disposal everything you’ll need! We stayed while househunting. Once in summer and once in the fall. It is a great place to enjoy Maine and the outdoors "sleeping by the lake." Wish we could go every year. Enjoy your morning coffee right on the porch. Highly recommend! You can't go wrong.
