Description of the Pensacola Beach vacation home rental

Pelican Haven Beach House is a waterfront home. Our beach house has been renovated to provide today's modern conveniences with yesterday's charm. This home, with all of its amenities, is a perfect family vacation retreat. The bedrooms, and the family room which includes living, dining, and kitchen areas, are spacious and tastefully furnished. The bedrooms are located on either side of the family room.

The water is perfect for swimming, boating and water skiing, and Pelican Haven has a private pier which provides easy access to the water. The area is abundant with wildlife, to include brown pelicans, and blue herons.

Santa Rosa Island, home of Pensacola Beach, is a barrier island in The Gulf Islands National Seashore. There are 52 miles of sandy seashore including miles of undeveloped beaches. The emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico and Santa Rosa Sound beckon with recreational opportunities from fishing, boating, swimming, hiking, collecting seashells, and exploring the area's historic sites.

 Family reunion at Pelican Haven, July 22, 2008

We had a family union the third week of July. It was a fantastic week. Everyone enjoyed themselves. We had 8 adults and 3 children. The house had been renovated a few years ago and had a very good layout. The private pier and bay location was excellent. It allowed our 3 young children to practically live in the water, since it was shallow. Also the ocean side was only 2 blocks away. There was only one problem...there were jelly fish on the ocean side. This made the bay side even a better choice. We're happy we selected this unit.

What a great house!The location was perfect for the beach, fishing and town for the kids. We had plenty of room for all of us (there were 10). The outdoor shower was a big hit especially the guys and the teenagers (2). The fact that it was Blue Angels weekend was a hugh bonus , we were able to see them 3 times !! The only thing I would ask for next time would be some sharp steak knives and a sharp Chef's knife. Thanks for great week.
