Description of the Pepeekeo vacation home rental
Our country estate is a lovely retreat on 5 acres, rural enough to enjoy spacious privacy, but just 6 miles from Hilo. Halekea Onomea is the largest of three cottages on the property. Its open and spacious interior has gorgeous views of tropical gardens rimmed with ocean views. The two upstairs bedrooms sleep six: two in a queen bed; two in a full bed; one in each of two twin sized beds; The bedrooms share a covered lanai with lovely views of the blue sea. The newly renovated bathroom has hand-cut stone tile from Indonesia and a luxury soaking tub/shower. The living room has 20 foot ceilings and a wall of windows. It's a bright and spacious place to curl up and enjoy a book or a movie, even on a rainy day. The fully equipped kitchen is it's own unique space with a breakfast nook and an adjoining formal dining room. The antique dining table expands out for your special gatherings. You can also dine on the covered patio complete with barbecue and outdoor fireplace. The walk down our road to Onomea Bay is one of the lovliest in all of Hawaii.
Our estate home is a grouping of three separate buildings adjoined by covered breezeways, each entirely private from one another. Halekea Onomea is the main house. It is approximately 2200 SF of living space plus a screened lanai, a second story lanai and an open dining patio.

Bedrooms sleep 6: Bedroom '1' has a queen bed and one twin (single) bed. Bedroom '2' has a full bed (double) and a one twin. The living room sofa can also comfortably sleep one person or two kids. In to the full bath upstairs, one of the two bedrooms has an in-room basin and vanity. There is a half bath on the main floor.
We can help you with touring or restaurant tips. There are massage therapists in the area who will come to the house, meal catering can be arranged if you reserve early, and we have a variety of beach supplies at hand (fins, face masks, snorkels, beach chairs, towels and small back packs). We will consider small special events or gatherings such as a very small wedding. We have lots of DVD's and internet Tv (Roku) No broadcast or cable Tv. Children 12 and over are welcomed. Please contact us if you have younger children. Hilo is the wet side of the island. We get sun and we get rain. Rain and sun is not predictable. We have 2 dogs Buddaboy and Hoku (who charm everyone!) We keep them close but they may come to visit you! Our 2 cats stay mostly in our private cottage (on site) but our cats occasionally visit the main house when guests are not in residence. Visitors with strong pet allergies should take note.
