Description of the Perry vacation cottage rental
On the other hand, if you need action, you can be as busy as you want, with a public boat landing for power boats less than 5 minutes away. Launch rental Kayaks, rowboats and canoes from your own back yard. Moor your sailboat in the bay. A ferry goes to Deer Island from Eastport. Schooner Sailings and deep sea fishing trips are also available. Take a tall masted sailing ship and go and find whales the old fashioned way. Visit Campbello Island, Roosevelt's summer home, a nearby fun place to see. Tour local lighthouses, and walk the cliffs of Maine's rocky shore. As a guest in our getaway cottage, we will provide you with exciting itineraries for interesting side trips that will take you off the beaten path to a lifetime of great memories.
Located on the edge of beautiful pristine Cobscook Bay with eye dazzling, ever changing vistas of the bay (Four tide changes a day mean exciting new views with each change all day long) See Eagles, Hawks, and sea birds such as Gulls, Loons, Ducks, Sandpipers, plus other feathered woodland inhabitants from your breakfast table as they may soar or perch nearby. Find clams, mussels and periwinkles on your beach at low tide.
The cottage is in a quiet community of waterfront homes, private yet not isolated. Easy to reach, only one mile off Scenic Coastal Rt. US 1 in the heart of lobster country.
Area Information
Leave the traffic and commotion back home. Two traffic lights in the entire county give you some kind of idea as to how crowded it never gets. Yet this is not isolation, it's just privacy with convenience. All the needs are in the area, mostly 15 minutes or so away.
This is the spectacular, rocky coast of "way down east" Maine, where the sun first rises to wake up the whole country. The 20 foot plus tide changes afford ever changing scenic vistas. Gulls, and wading birds are common visitors as you breakfast on pristine Cobscook Bay. Watch an eagle soar or a harbor seal play in your back yard while you enjoy a late afternoon martini or a cocktail before dinner.

Reviews for this vacation cottage rental in Perry, Maine

Sandy Young
Brockville, Ontario Canada
cozy cottage
August 27, 2011
Our family (5 of us) stayed at a wonderful little cottage in Perry, Maine. The cottage was nicely decorated and very comfortable. The view of the water from the cottage was unbelievable. We did a lot of beachcombing and digging for clams. A whale watching/deepsea fishing trip with fundy tours was the highlight of the trip, seeing whales, purpoise, seals. We caught a bucket of fish in less than 20 minutes (catching 4 at a time!) There was not a great deal to do in Perry for teenagers and I would recommend this place for mature couples not families. Overall it was an enjoyable week and well worth seeing. The Stott-Young Family
Owner Supplied Testimonials

Thanks John and Joan for sharing your cottage with us. The information booklet was very helpful and informative. We enjoyed the lobsters from Betty's; we spent fun - filled hours on the kayaks which Linda and Ray dropped off at the house. It was great fun to explore the bay. Th kids enjoyed roasting marshmallows on the outside fire and going on an adventure to Grandfather Rock. The chipmunks also kept us entertained.. . . . . . .
the Verlardi's Haymarket, VA
What a wonderful week we had. We went on a whale watch on the Ada C. Lore. For 45 minutes we followed a Minke Whale as she put on an amazing show. Forty full breaches. Next we had a wonderful day kayak fishing and swimming in Rocky lake in Machias. We spent evenings watching the sunset and the chipmunks run about followed by pinochle. A perfect way to end each day.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful spot on earth with us.. . . . .

Dear John and Joan:
This is our 3rd year at your wonderful cottage ! We absolutely love it here and wish it could be ours. We have had so much stress at home and this is what the doctor ordered ! ! We have read many books and, taken many side trips. Grand Manann Island is just wonderful too ! !
Bob and Bert, Batavia Ohio
What a wonderful peaceful spot here. We loved every minute. Very interesting watching the tides ebb and flow. Could not have had better weather either. Enjoyed each and every day. Great place for creativity too - I was drawing every day. We saw seals and bald eagles at Reversing Falls too.
Thank you so much. this is a beautiful house, so comfortable and so relaxing. We cooked and baked bread too, just like home.
Sincerely, Bill and Glen
Extraordinary home and place for complete relaxation. A very beautiful and interesting area will demand us to return. Thank you so much for your hospitality. !

John and Joan:
We can't thank you enough for sharing your little piece of heaven on earth with us. Your cottage is absolutely beautiful and words can't describe the beauty surrounding it.Whatv ever stress we had when we got here is long gone, we can assure you. It pains us to be leaving., but we always have next summer to look forward to. A week was not enough for us so we are hoping to stay for at least two weeks next time. the chipmunks, our constant companions and source of entertainment will be sorely missed. Watching the bald eagles right from your lunch byb the water was an unexpected and wonderful surprise. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you !
