Description of the Peshtigo vacation cottage rental

A tranquil cottage situated on the Peshtigo River two miles north of the city of Peshtigo. Located next to Heron House (larger luxury house also available for rental, great for family reunions and retreats) on five wooded acres with 300' of river frontage. Centrally located for viewing the fall colors of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. Also, don't forget this winter about downhill and cross country skiing. Spring and summer are magical when the extensive gardens are in full bloom. A bird watcher and nature lover delight as special care is taken to make a safe and peaceful home for all sorts of animal friends... Take a nap in the hammock along the river or get lost in a book you have been meaning to read. Watch the eagles return every night to their nest while you have a glass of wine around the fire. Drop your canoe in and enjoy miles of paddling. If you are feeling really ambitious portage around the dam in Peshtigo and paddle all the way to Lake Michigan. Bring your bicycles and explore miles of country roads. Private yoga sessions and massages available. Newly updated interior. And yes,Dominos does deliver! No hunting or fishing on the property.

Area Description

The cottage is located in Wisconsin six miles from the Upper Michigan border of Menominee, Michigan and Marinette, Wisconsin. A large sailing community is located in Menominee, which sponsors races and community events throughout the year. Downhill and cross country skiing destinations are close-by. Many golf courses within just a few miles. A great area for road biking with epic rides and few cars. Many
people fly in and out of the Green Bay's Austin Straubel Airport or the Menominee, Michigan Airport to visit the EAA and other destinations. The Porterfield Country Music Festival is only 5 minutes away!

This adorable cottage is cozy and tranquil. The location is beautiful and the weekend we were there the colors were amazing. The wooded area is full of wildlife and Donna added alot of fun touches for the season----ghosts along the drive in and Japanese lantern flowers in the window boxes. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Serenity Cottage.

If you just wanna relax, this is the place. Quiet with a breathtaking view! My wife and I felt very refreshed after this vacation. Played ping pong, went swimming and biking, and watched the wildlife on the river.This place really exceeded my expectations.Hope to come back next year!
