Description of the Peshtigo vacation home rental

A spacious home surrounded by gardens and wildlife situated on the Peshtigo River two miles north of the city of Peshtigo. Located near Serenity Cottage on five wooded acres with 300' of river frontage. The home has a fireplace and full size pool table with wide-screen LCD TV and DVD player, ping-pong table. A wonderful spot to get together with family and in combination with Serenity Cottage next door is perfect for large family reunions and retreats. The house has a main bedroom with master bath and two additional bedrooms, one with a queen bed and another with two twin beds. Hardwood floors throughout. The house has recently been remodeled with an Asian theme. No hunting or fishing allowed on the property. Pets always welcome. Contact us to discuss all the eco-friendly aspects of our rentals.

Area Description

Heron House is located in Wisconsin six miles from the Upper Michigan border of Menominee, Michigan and Marinette, Wisconsin. A large sailing community is located in Menominee, which sponsors races and community events throughout the year. Birding, kayaking and walks along the beach are just some the great activities within a 15 miles radius. Downhill and cross country skiing destinations are close by. Many golf courses within just a few miles. A great area for road biking with epic rides and few cars. Restaurants, shopping, farmers markets and museums are all close. Many people fly in and out of the Green Bay's Austin Straubel Airport or the Menominee, Michigan Airport to visit the EAA and other destinations. The Porterfield Country Music Festival is only 5 minutes away!

Full service kitchen with dishes (12 place settings), linens, bottled water, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster and microwave. 24 hour Anytime Fitness health club access included with rental. Outdoor fire ring and hammocks to relax in. Bicycles and kayaks available to rent. Massage and yoga offerings available on-site. Tea house/meditation cabana nestled in one of the many gardens. Required Stay: No Restrictions
Lodging Tax: Included in Rate
Deposits: We ask for a 50% deposit to secure the reservation, which is applied to your stay. Balance is due upon arrival. If something happens and you can't make the dates, you may apply any monies paid to a future rental within one year.
Other Fees: NO EXTRA FEES... All taxes, amenities, firewood, fresh cut flowers, soap, organic coffee, organic oatmeal, wifi, computer,etc. is included in the price.

we had stayed at the heron house for our engagement weekend, and it was definitely worth the four hour drive from chicago. the place was so beautiful and so relaxing, and hospitality was amazing. I highly recommend this to anyone and everyone looking to get away. Thanks again for everything

Thank you to Donna & Newton for a wonderful stay at Heron House! The property is amazing and relaxing...we very much enjoyed the decor of the house and all of the nice amenities. We especially enjoyed napping in the hammocks, cooking over the firepit and reading on the dock. We were thrilled that our dog was warmly welcomed as well. Finally a vacation where we could just relax and sleep as long as we wanted. Beautiful moonlit view of the Peshtigo River. Will tell our friends and family about this place.Cool nites.
