With 2,000 sq. ft., this spacious home surrounded by gardens and wildlife will make your vacation one of the most relaxing yet. Situated on the Peshtigo River, where you can watch the sunsets reflected in the river from the hot tub, you'll experience the north woods in style.

The Japanese inspired decor creates beauty and tranquility from the hand painted murals to the artisan pottery, every effort is taken to transport you to comfort and serenity. Heron House provides a main bedroom with a master bath and two additional bedrooms, one with a queen bed and another with two twin beds and two additional baths. This home features hardwood floors throughout, vaulted ceilings and plenty of closet space. A large and airy all season sun room overlooks the river. Large living room with fireplace featuring pool table, futon sofa (becomes additional queen bed), futon lounger (serves as a full bed), large screen 48" LCD TV with DVD player, cable, wireless internet and ping-pong table. Full service kitchen with dishes (12 place settings), organic cotton linens, bottled water, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster and microwave. 24 hour Anytime Fitness health club access included with rental. Outdoor fire ring and hammocks to relax in. Bicycles and kayaks available to rent. Massage and yoga offerings available on-site. Tea house/meditation cabana nestled in one of the many gardens. Located on five wooded acres with 300' of river frontage. A wonderful spot to get together with family and friends.

We are very kid and pet friendly with amenities that will make travel with your entire family a pleasure. For the kids, we provide a pack and play, high chair, games, sidewalk chalk, tiaras, bubbles and much more. For pets, we provide beds, bowls, treats and toys.

$165 for 1 night
$155 for 2-4 nights
$145 for 5-9 nights
$135 for 10 nights or more

Rates include taxes and cleaning. There are no additional charges for the number of people staying, parking or pets.

To make a reservation, we require a 50% deposit, which is applied to your stay. A minimum of $25 of the deposit must be paid by credit card. Any remaining part of the deposit or rental fee can be paid by check, credit card or PayPal. Your dates will be reserved only when the deposit is received.

Heron House is located in Wisconsin six miles from the Upper Michigan border of Menominee, Michigan and Marinette, Wisconsin. A large sailing community is located in Menominee, which sponsors races and community events throughout the year. Birding, kayaking and walks along the beach are just some the great activities within a 15 miles radius. Downhill and cross country skiing destinations are close by. Many golf courses within just a few miles. A great area for road biking with epic rides and few cars. Restaurants, shopping, farmers markets and museums are all close. Many people fly in and out of the Green Bay's Austin Straubel Airport or the Menominee, Michigan Airport to visit the EAA and other destinations. The Porterfield Country Music Festival is only 5 minutes away!

What a find this is! Small town living with a touch of Zen. We had everything we needed for two couples to enjoy some road biking, eating in and out, relaxing in the hot tub, and plenty of exploring. Donna is a welcome host with great stories and personality. The only draw back was that the dam was open resulting in very low water levels. So we did not get the opportunity to explore the water as much as we would have liked. We also enjoyed ourselves far too much during the day so we never got the opportunity to build a fire in the fire pit.

Very nice, comfortable stay. The house/cabin is really comfortable and it was nice just relaxing by the fire place with the futon pulled out, and pillows stacked! Masterbedroom is very cozy, w/ beautiful natural stone shower & view of lake. Donna provides everything you need.....even bottled water. The breakfast spot she reccomends is really cute, and you can sit outside w/ a view of the lake. We had a nice time......

A world away from big city,yet all of the comforts of home and more. It's a perfect place to get away from it all. The HERON HOUSE sets back from the road right near the Peshtigo River and you would think you were in the middle of the wilderness. There is everything that you need for a holiday weekend or for a month.The resident squrials were great entertainment and Aiden loved to watch them run around the property. We recommend Heron House for anyone who wants to recharge thier batteries. Donna is a great hostess and makes sure that everything was in great order. Veeve from Bangkok loved this place and wishes he could take it back to Thailand. This was a dream come true. Because of the great internet connection at Heron House, he was able to remaine in touch with friends and family back in Thailand.We will come back again.
