Description of the Petit Manan Point vacation cottage rental
Enjoy our 2 BR, full bath traditional Maine cottage located on 1 3/4 acres with 350' of sandy and rocky Maine shore overlooking a deep water bay, the north Atlantic, and Petit Manan Island lighthouse. Our spacious cottage is comfortably furnished and offers panoramic water and island views from over 25' of continuous windows. Cottage offers full kitchen, separate dining area, and accommodates up to six persons comfortably (double bed in master BR; two twin beds in 2d floor BR; and queen size pull-out couch in the Great Room. Satellite TV available for those rare occasions when guests can pull themselves away from the spectactular beauty and quiet tranquility of Petit Manan Point.
Area Information
Our cottage is located on a thin finger of land extending in to the North Atlantic one hour north of Bar Harbor/Acadia National Park. We are located 5.1 miles off U.S. Route 1 (The Sunshine/Downeast Route) and within 1/2 mile of the Petit Manan National Wildlife Refuge. The Refuge offers hiking trails, wildlife viewing, blueberry picking, and spectacular views of Pigeon Hill Bay, Dyer Bay, and the north Atlantic, including Petit Manan Island lighthouse. Many traditional Maine fishing villages, lighthouses, state and local parks, local museums, hiking trails, Nature Convservancy lands, and other attractions are located within one hour north or south of our cottage. Our cottage is the perfect gateway to Acadia and Downeast Maine.
