Description of the Phoenix vacation home rental

This beautiful vacation home in Desert Ridge is a 5bd/3ba, 3100 s.f. home with large, private resort-like backyard made for rest and relaxation (R&R!).

Pool with waterfall and adjoining 6-person spa; flagstone covered patio with gas bbq, fireplace and seating area with mini fridge; outdoor speakers and misting system make the backyard the perfect place to relax during the day or evening. Backyard boasts 180 degree view of the night sky.

The home features a curved oak staircase taking you to four bedrooms upstairs, all with queen beds. The downstairs bedroom has a full size bed. Two bathrooms up and one down.

The game room has a pool table that converts to a ping pong table. French doors lead you out to the flagstone patio to enjoy morning coffee listening to the birds.

The gourmet kitchen with stainless appliances and walk-in pantry is party central, with a huge center island for gathering around while dinner or margaritas are being made.

Cable TV in family room and each bedroom; high speed wireless internet and of course phone. Full size washer/dryer, all detergents included.

All linens, towels, dishes, cookware, paper products etc are included. Just bring your toothbrush.

This home is perfectly located in North Phoenix, bordering Scottsdale, in Desert Ridge off Tatum and Loop 101. 25 min to Airport or downtown; and 3 minutes to Loop 101 which takes you anywhere in the valley.

Desert Ridge Marketplace (1 mi) hosts all daily needs and entertainment venues, from grocery store to Target; AMC Theatre to Dave & Busters; 30+ restaurant fare ranging from In'n'Out to Bamboo Club and The Keg Steakhouse. Shop til you drop; have a spa day; or just take care of business at the Osco drug store, dry cleaners, gas station etc. It's all close at the Marketplace.

Premier golf resorts and courses abound as close as the JW Marriott's Wildfire championship course less than a mile away, or find Troon, Boulders, Westin Kierland, Grayhawk and many more within 10-20 minutes. Roy's Pacific dining is at the Marriott also.

Upscale, high-end Scottsdale shopping at Kierland Commons is 12 minutes away.

Grand Canyon (4 hrs), Sedona (90 min), Flagstaff (2 hrs), Tucson (2 hrs) are within reach.

Closer to home easy hiking trails take you through raw desert or to the top of Piestewa Peak or Camelback Mountain.

Two queen air mattresses are available with plenty of room to place them.

All propane, paper products, hand soap, detergents provided. Kitchen is stocked with coffee, sugar, sugar alternate, etc. We tried to think of everything, let us know if we can provide something for you. Our goal is to make sure your vacation is peaceful and comfortable.

Pool safety: The pool does not have an internal fence. Adult supervision is required for children. Always watch your kids around water!

• Deposits: 50% due to confirm reservation; final payment due 21 days prior to arrival. For stays that are several months out, only $500 deposit is required to confirm reservation.
   
• Other Fees: $125 non-refundable cleaning fee. $500 fully refundable security deposit upon satisfactory departure (i.e. no damage, no excess cleaning required). Returned within 48 hours. Call for nightly rates for less than one week. Optional pool heating: In winter months, at actual gas usage rate, deposit required commensurate with time of year. Actual gas charges this year (Nov - Mar) ranged from $25 - $160. No gas charge for minimal winter usage.

We needed a 5 bedroom for the wedding party and boy, did this house fit our bill. We ended up using both air mattresses also because the groomsmen didn't want to stay at the hotel, they wanted to stay with the rest of us at this fabulous house that has everything. Everyone enjoyed this great home that we held both a small wedding and reception dinner. This house has the perfect location in proximity to shopping, great restaurants and everything while still feeling secluded in the fabulous back yard/pool area. Dale was more than helpful with all my questions. The house was very clean, stocked and well maintained. We enjoyed every minute and will have great memories of your wonderful house and our daughters perfect wedding. Thank you so much.

We have rented vacation homes all over the world. For the price this home was a very good deal. It has alot of room and is clean and well cared for. The neighborhood is very safe and the home is close to everything you would need. The Englishes

My husband, our daughter and three little dogs all stayed from May 20-June 3 and loved it! The home was great, loved playing pool, swimming, reading outside by the pool, it was a fantastic vacation, none of us wanted to leave, not even the dogs! As our vacation was kind of planned at the last minute, Julia was great in getting us the contract timely and Dale stopped by the first day to answer any questions we might have. It was truly an enjoyable vacation!!

We rented the house to accommodate us and several family members who were with us to celebrate the marriage of our son. The size of the house and property was perfect, allowing us to comfortably host the rehearsal dinner for approx 50 guests. The home is spacious from the kitchen and adjoining family area, out to the pool area, and up to the bedrooms. The master bedroom is a grand space. Extra amenities were cheerfully provided to accommodate the toddlers. The home is well kept and clean. Doing business with Julia and Dale was a pleasure. No surprises except for the extra efforts to provide us with a wonderful stay. My grandson is looking forward to "visiting grandma's friend's house again". Thanks again, Julia and Dale for The Perfect Week.

 

 Excellent, well-maintained home, May 23, 2008

We spent a week at this house in March and had a wonderful time. we had 7 adults and 3 young children and there was plenty of room. The big kitchen has tons of counter space and is open to the family room and back patio so it is great for socializing and cooking big family dinners. We had fun using the pool table and pool/spa. We had a problem with the house/smoke alarms one night and Dale (owner) came over in minutes to help us resolve it. He also gave us our deposit in departure and was very professional. Overall an excellent house. It is in a basic (very nice) neighborhood, but once you are in side it feels very private because there are no houses directly behind and the backyard and pool area feels very big and private. I highly recommend this house.

Dale and Julia, My guests and I wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed the house. It is much more spacious than it looks in the photos. The bar, grill and seating area in the back of the house were an unexpected bonus! Also, all of the rooms are very nice, but the master bedroom is immaculate. The balcony outside of the room, the two walk-in closets and the oversized tub were some of our favorite amenities. The house was stocked with everything we needed from pots, pans, dishes and utensils to bedding and linens (and even some leftover goodies from the previous guests). My guests even loved the comfort of the pillows! We also want to commend you on extremely professional business dealings. We received our deposit back in the time specified on the contract and Dale even came by during our stay to help us figure out how to heat the pool and jacuzzi! It was our first time to Phoenix, but thanks to this wonderful experience, it will definitely not be our last.

We rented this vacation home in January of 2008. There were four adults and two young children and the house was plenty big for this amount of people. The owners were very quick to respond to any of our needs both before, during and after the rental week. The house is beautiful and in a great location. It is close to numerous restaurants and shopping, as well as, the highway making getting to different places very easy. If you have young children a school with a wonderful playground is within walking distance. There are also paths for walking or exercising throughout the neighborhood. We would definitely rent this house again if returning to the Phoenix area.
