Vacation Rental Description
Alpine View is a spacious, three-bedroom real log cabin -- handcrafted by the original owner. It sits on a secluded site on the side of a mountain with a teriffic view of distant mountains overlooking a lovely valley. Yet it's only ten minutes from the heart of Pigeon Forge (and another five minutes to Gatlinburg) on excellent paved county roads. It's also not far from a little-known entrance to Smoky Mountains National Park and on the way to the wonderful Cades Cove.
The cabin itself has three bedrooms and two baths. It's got a hot tub on the back porchand and a two-person, oversized jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom. It's got a pool table upstairs in the loft, and two LCD televisions (one has a 42" screen), with satellite reception, and a washer/dryer. Plus we've got a porch swing on the front porch and rocking chairs (and a Weber charcoal grill) on the back porch for relaxing. We've recently bought all new furniture, comforter sets and mattresses. We're not professional decorators, but we've tried to make the cabin look as attractive as possible with nice artwork, including some paintings that are family heirlooms and others that are by local artists.
We keep the cabin fully stocked with dinnerware, kitchen utensils and pots and pans. We've got games and puzzles, books and a few CD's and videos. So, other than food (which you can pick up from the local Krogers or Wal-Mart), we think you are pretty well set for a wonderful, relaxing stay in the Smokies.
