Winter is a marveleous time in the Smokies. If you like things quieter and easy going, then winter is for you. The mountain vistas are better with the foliage off the trees.
Spring is like a new beginning. All the foliage returns along with the wildflowers, the whitewater streams, exuberant waterfalls, and wildlife emerging from their winter dens-American Black Bears come from hibernation and Whitetail Fawns are born.
