 Gratefully Spoiled , January 3, 2008
By Judy Hobbs (Rose Creek Village, Selmer, TN 38375)
If we could, we'd go there every season of the year! Wow -- What a sweet retreat! We went between Christmas and New Year's, and in spite of the lack of foliage that time of year, it was beautiful -- Hope to go back in the fall and spring to enjoy the colors of those seasons in such a serene setting. Our children, age 12, 11, 9, and 7, had a great time fishing and paddle-boating....and yes, they caught fish (3 small brim)! Our time there provided a much-needed vacation time from intense work situations, as well as the December passing of my mother. Last minute search for places available Dec. 26th turned up "no occupany" until, by a miracle, we found your listing w/availability. After 4 nights there, we were rested, refreshed, and restored. A small but favorite part of mine was staying in the bedroom done in Native American decor and shopping at the Native American Village Store down the road from Fall Creek Falls. Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Barnhill, for sharing this place with us!

Back to the Heavenly Haven, July 11, 2007
By A renter (Ocala Florida)
We spent Christmas 2006 there and returned for a enjoyable peaceful two week stay in June. We took the paddle boat out and caught fish for supper. I had a chance to get caught up on some reading sitting on the deck. Love the surrounding area with all the beautiful views. A wonderful place to stay, you won't be dissappointed...

Peace on Earth, July 8, 2007
By A renter (Columbia, TN)
Our stay on June 30th - July 3rd 2007 was peace on earth. A perfect get away for a stress free vacation. Bring all your food so you don't have to leave until it's time to go home. I will go back again.

 A Great Place, May 14, 2007
By A renter (Kansas City, MO)
We rented the house in April 2007 for a long weekend. The house is very nice and comfortable. We fished in the lake, took the peddle boat out for a spin, sat on the deck and watched the sunsets, and sat by the fire drinking wine. We hiked everyday at Fall Creek Falls Park (about 15 miles). It was so nice to come home to such an inviting/comfortable place after along day of hiking. Everyone in town (Pikeville) was very friendly. We hope to go back in the fall when the views should be amazing.

Heavenly Haven in Pikeville TN, January 5, 2007
By A renter (Central Florida)
I would love to keep this place a secret, but that wouldn't be fair to all of you who haven't had a chance to see this adorable, enchanting, country place to stay. We spent Christmas there and had wonderful time, baking cookies, hanging our stockings from the fireplace and looking at our breathtaking view!!! We're looking forward to going back this summer, so we can swing on the deck; while looking at the lakes and mountains, and do some fishing from the dock. We've stayed many places, but this is one of our favorites !! I encourage anyone who wants a clean, cute and a delightful place to stay this is the place for you, it's all the owner promises and much more !!!

 Awesome!, June 29, 2006
By A renter (Nashville)
This place is wonderful and special. It's rustic but very clean, and features all the modern amenities. It's secluded from neighbors, surrounded on three sides by a lake, and has a great deck overlooking the lake. We caught fish, took long walks on nearby country roads, ate wild rasberries from the garden, cooked, discovered brand new baby birds in a little birdhouse, enjoyed lots of frogs, birds and a turtle or two. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat with lots of water, nature and beauty, you'll find it all here.
