Description of the Pine Island vacation home rental
Our Bokeelia stilt home is located at the north end of Pine Island, in the community of Captain's Cove. BYOB (Bring your own boat) and park it safely under the home. Use the community boat ramp just a block away to launch your boat through Charlotte Harbor, just five miles to world famous tarpon fishing at Boca Grande pass. A short boat ride to the pristine barrier islands, including Captiva and Cayo Costa where you can enjoy private, gorgeous beaches; find enormous, rare shells and fish for tarpon, snook, redfish, trout, grouper, snapper, cobia, and spanish mackerel.
Retire to our newly constructed mediterranean style home. The gourmet kitchen boasts granite counters, cherry wood cabinet and stainless appliances. Six can sit around the huge island and face out to the open great room as you cook your catch. Flat screen televisions in the living room and master bedroom. The master suite offers a king size bed, walk in closet, and luxurious bath with double shower and jacuzzi tub. Two additional bedrooms (Queen bed and kids room to sleep up to 5 kids) share a beautiful bath with vessel sink and granite vanity. Beautiful tile throughout. Sit out on the back lanai porch and have total privacy - or sit out front and watch the Osprey nest. Short walk to Lazy Flamingo for dinner and to the Four Winds Marina. Close to community pool, tennis, Matlacha art galleries, kayak and canoe rentals. Relax and enjoy the sun and tranquility.

Area Information
Pine Island is a hidden treasure and Florida's best kept secret. No traffic lights or high rise buildings. Lots of friendly people, sunshine, water and home to some of the best fishing in the US. The island has everything you need, from great restaurants, grocery shopping, and convenience stores, to great art and cultural festivals. A 30 minute drive to Cape Coral or Fort Myers, where you can find any chain store, beaches, and various other amenities.

Other Vacation Rental Amenities
Pine Island has many great local restaurants - a walk to the Lazy Flamingo where they will cook your catch and offer up local seafood in a casual environment. A short drive to Reds for great food - a wide menu where we have always had a great meal. They have Italian on the island, a great pulled pork shop, and even a few fast food places. If you want a high end gourmet night out, you must try the renowned Tarpon Lodge.
There are two places within walking distances where you can rent kayaks.
Its about 8 miles to Matlacha where you will find wonderful art galleries and great food. You will also find the best home made ice cream!

Bokeelia Stilt home

It is a beautiful stilt home. Clean, up to date and a great value for my family. We had a wonderful time. Stairs were tiresome for my 84 year old mother-in-law at times and she missed not being directly on the water. We rented a boat and went off to Casta CAyo and had a blast. Malatcha was fun and the sunsets at Tarpon Lodge were breath-taking!
