Very nice cabin, definitely would recommend, The gift basket, eggs and note made us feel very welcomed. The movies were a great addition for the times it was rainy. I caught a huge bass with the kiddy pole and had to drag it in to shore because the pole broke! It was funny. I haven't ever caught such a big fish! Warren loved plying on the sun porch and exploring the land. He didn't know what to think of the chickens. I found this cabin on the internet and what a find. We have visited Minnesota twice before, but the "Cabin at the Lake" is the best. What a great cabin and location! The hosts were wonderful. The cabin was so clean (the first cabin I didn't have to "spot clean" when I arrived.) My grandson had so much fun. This vacation was for them and of course the guys and their fishing. The cabin was beyond our expectations. It was spotless, without a grain of sand. We took care of that immediately. We were amazed at all the thoughtful conveniences left for us to use. What a treat! We fished. We ate many meals using the camp fire and the grill. The clothesline had towels drying constantly. The view from the porch was admired and enjoyed by each of us. The sunsets are memory keepers! Our weeks is about over. It has gone much too fast. We enjoyed feeding the fish at the dock, visits from Brandy, and our evening boat/fishing outings. The paddle boat was finally mastered by Karen and me. It did take a few minutes to get out of circling constantly. What fun we've had! What memories! What great Minnesota weather! I can't say enough good things about this place (both cabin and lake). This was our second year here and it afforded as much enjoyment as our last. Being the only people around provided us with an environment where we could truly relax and drink up the experience completely. We will definitely be back next year. P.S. We have had a crazy year with the birth of our daughter etc. "Cabin at the Lake" was the perfect antidote for our family to get away and enjoy each other, with nothing else that needs attention right away. Last night after dinner my daughter said "mom, I'm as happy as I could be". She has had such a wonderful time, exploring, playing with the fish, she even prayed for them that they are happy once she leaves. Thank you for helping us to make such memories. Cabin at the lake is the best! The cabin is really nice and well taken care of, and there is lots of room outside for frisbee, bocce ball and taking walks. Because there are only a few houses & cabins on the lake, we pretty much had the lake to ourselves for the whole week. Angele and Bear were very helpful and wonderful hosts.
