Description of the Pittsfield vacation home rental

This is a beautiful, spacious home with over 4000 sq. ft. to stretch out in. Great for entertaining and hosting large family gatherings. Nestled in the heart of the Berkshires, 10 minutes from the New York border. Bring your family and friends, share the expense and enjoy the enormous space of the house in a setting that allows everyone to be together yet still have their own space. Our 7 large, nicely decorated bedrooms provide big beds with all the linens. Each room has it's own TV with cable. There are two beautiful kitchens with granite counters and stainless steel appliances, one in the attached guest suite, which also has a separate entrance, 2 bedrooms, bath, laundry room, and great room with a 65' big screen TV and pool table. This area closes off for separation or opens up to the main house to provide the space for everyone to gather and be together. The back yard is big enough , with comfortable dining and lounging furniture, for all to gather, kids and adults, and relax in the mountain fresh air. Situated in a quiet family neighborhood with a child's play-yard and a 2-tiered deck for adult relaxing.

Area Information

The home is set between 2 lakes, one at the bottom of the street, great for winter or summer fun. You will be 5 minutes from golf, boating, state forest, shopping, fine dining, Hancock Shaker Village, and our own baseball park and team (The American Defenders). 10 minutes from Theater, Arts and Museums, and 15 minutes from ski resorts. Jiminy Peak Ski Resort also has summer fun with alpine slides, rock climbing, swing shot and more while Bosquet boasts a water park, and it is only a 20 minutes to Tanglewood,(home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra). This great home is also less than 5 minutes from the hospital.
Our location is unique in that we are very close to all different types of activities that fit anyone's interest in any season of the year. With the breathtaking mountains and beautiful foliage you will have a great time just relaxing and enjoying the views of the area and be only 2 minutes from RT 7, which is the main road to get to most destinations in the area. The season changes are amazing in the Berkshire Mountains. The fall shows off our beautiful mountains in spectacular colors and all the charming country farms are bustling with hay rides, apple picking and pumpkin fests. Winter provides an abundance of snow and we are minutes from some of the best ski resorts and a walk away from ice fishing on the lake. Spring jumps alive with the new and upcoming season of the summer events and the summer provides so many different things to do you won't know where to begin.

Approximately 2.5 hours from Boston or New York City.

Awesome Home!

5 of us were here at this home for a College Reunion. The home was very spacious with 2 kitchens and a pool table! There was also a large Dining room, a hot tub and an outdoor grill. We felt right at home, and enjoyed our stay here very much!

Great place for a large family!

We had a wonderful time here. The great room with pool table and large screen TV was the pefect room for us all to gather. The two kitchens worked out nicely, especially having 2 refrigerators! The neighborhood was nice for walking, and neighbors very friendly. One day we rented a pontoon boat just down the hill at Onota Lake and spent a fun afternoon in the water, and other days we tried out different beach spots along the lake. Wednesday evenings you can enjoy a free concert at the lake. It was close enough that many in our group chose to walk to the lake. But if you have lots of stuff and little ones, you might want to take at least one car. There's plenty to do in the area, but we found we just enjoyed relaxing at the house. The hot tub was a nice place to unwind in the evening. The house was very clean, and the owners great to work with and very helpful and accommodating. We are hoping to go again next year!

Very Relaxing

This home was amazing! So spacious and tons of stuff to do. The pool table kept all of us entertained and I loved how there were two kitchens so we could spread things out. The hot tub was fun too. This was just a great house to kick back and relax in. It was a great experience.
