Located within Placencia Village on the Placencia Lagoon, Harbour Hideaway lies within easy walking distance of the beach and the Caribbean Sea, as well as unique shops, restaurants, nightlife and adventure tour operators.

A bright and spacious studio apartment (nearly 1000 sq ft with verandas) with a fully-equipped kitchen and sleeping for four, Harbour Hideaway offers complimentary bicycles, wireless internet, satellite radio, cable TV and laundry facilities.

Enjoy your morning coffee or afternoon beverage in our Crows Nest Tower with panoramic views of the Maya Mountains and spectacular sunsets over Placencia Lagoon.

Area Information

Placencia Village is located at the sourthern most tip of the 17 mile long Placencia Peninsula, bordered to the East by the Caribbean Sea and to the West by the picturesque Placencia Lagoon.

Placencia prides itself on it's laid-back atmosphere and it's billing as a quaint little fishing village. While it's easy to fall iinto the relaxed atmosphere, there is always plenty to do.

With the 2nd largest barrier reef on the planet just offshore, scuba diving, snorkelling, fishing, & boating of all types are favorite water activities here. The week following the full moon in May and June bring whale shark enthusiasts; this is when these magnificent creatures migrate here.

A plethora of day trips and inland jungle tours are readily available and easy to plan from Harbour Hideaway. If you need assistence we will be happy to assist.

Perfect stay in Placencia

My husband and I stayed at the Harbour Hideaway for 5 nights over Christmas and had a wonderful time. The studio apartment has everything you need and was a great home away from home. The location is close enough that you can walk or ride a bike into Placencia Village, while still allowing you a quiet stay away if you want it. What really made the trip for us was the gracious hospitality of Jim & Cindy - they went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed and to make our stay as enjoyable as possible - even to the extent of inviting us for Christmas dinner. Thanks for everything - we'd return in a heartbeat!!
