Description of the Placencia vacation cottage rental

The cottage is located 4.5 miles N of Placencia Village, in N Seine Bight Village on the Placencia Peninsula. The cottage is 50 feet from the Caribbean Sea on a spacious, beautifully landscaped, fenced lot. It is fully furnished and includes internet and cable TV. The kitchen is also fully equipped. There is shared laundry room with a washer & dryer. Large verandas are screened and hammocks are provided. There is a palapa with a BBQ for outdoor cooking and entertaining. The cottage is small and best suited for 2 people but a twin bed can be provided for an additional person. There is a dock next door suitable for swimming. The cottage is cooled by ceiling & portable fans as well as prevailing sea breezes.

Placencia is located in the Southern part of Belize on a 21 mile long peninsula, with the Caribbean sea to the east and Placencia lagoon to the west. English & Spanish are spoken. It is a four hour drive from Belize City or a 45 minute flight from the international airport. Placencia is one of the premiere tourist destinations in Belize. Snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing and jungle trecks are all available within easy reach of the village. May and June are popular months for Whale Shark watching outside of the barrier reef. There are many interesting nooks & crannies to explore, local arts & crafts, local culture and even local dining experience. Bring lots of sunscreen!

My wife and I traveled through Placencia back in February. We stayed at Cordy's Beach Cottage, which we found through the vacation home rentals website. The beach cottage is the perfect place to stay in Placencia. It has everything thing you need. Great palapa used for barbeque and outdoor dining. A perfect beach just steps away. Screened in porches and exposed sun decks on all sides of the cottage. The breeze at night rolling through the cottage keeps you very comfortable. John and Cordy are extremely nice and accommodating. Can't say enough positive thing about the cottage. We will stay there every time we travel through Placencia.
