Area Description
Zancudo beach is a beautiful 6 mile long unspoiled beach with a small village that offers restaurants, bars and a few grocery stores. The surf is perfect for all family members with huge waves for surfing and boogie boarding and areas of calmer water for young children and those that don't have good swimming skills. This is a perfect base for exploring other areas of Southern Costa Rica and Panama.
The travel to Zancudo requires additional time from San Jose. The nearest airports are Golfito and Puerto Jimenez and connections can be made from local air carriers SANSA or NATURE AIR. Flights are approximately one hour.
After flights additional travel by boat taxi, car taxi or rental cars is necessary and another 1-2 hrs. travel time will get you to the rental house.
THE TRAVEL IS WORTH IT! THE BEACH IS SPECTACULAR!
