Playa Plata is located in Zancudo, a beach community that's a short boat ride from Golfito.

The Casa is a beautifully finished and newly renovated two story house with two large bedrooms, bathroom, upstairs and downstairs terraces, with kitchen, dining and living areas on the first floor level. The smaller cabina is suited to three or four people. It is newly renovated with kitchenette, living room, dining room, bedroom, bathroom, and a wrap-around outdoor terrace. Zancudo is home to about 300 Ticos, a thriving expat community and many seasonal tourists.

This property is a dream during high season and a bargain during the also spectacular Green season. More recently, the Green season has become popular with travelers who enjoy the refreshing and typically short showers in the late afternoon after hot and sunny days. Not to mention that everything is very green and the canopy is in full bloom.

No matter the season, you could happily spend your time relaxing on the beach and in the Casa, biking on the beach or exploring the area, boogie boarding and swimming in the waves and the warm gulf waters, and sampling the fresh fish from the Gulf, fruits and vegetables from Emilio (delivered twice a week), and enjoying the offerings from the various restaurants.

If you are interested in other activities, try horseback riding, world-class surfing at Pavones, boat tours in the mangroves, kayaking, fishing tours, boat tours to Puerto Jimenez, tours to the Orchid Farm and the Animal Sancutary, snorkeling tours, and ziplining in Golfito.

Corcovado Park is accessible by boat or ferry to Puerto Jimenez and you can join guided tours from there.
