My wife and I have now had the pleasure of staying at Sleepy Cove three different times. The weather, the people, the food and the scenic beauty are all almost perfect. Of all of the vacations we have taken, Sleep Cove is our favorite destination. On each trip we have taken friends along and no one has ever been disappointed. The "list" of friends for the next trip is growing! I think that one of the best attributes of a Sleepy Cove vacation is that you can do a lot, a little or nothing at all.

My stay at Sleepy Cove was fantastic. I was amazed by a wide variety of nature and visited a wild animal shelter and a butterfly conservatory on my trip. Some of the best photographs I have taken were while in Costa Rica. Olman and Chiko have a wealth of knowledge about the area and were very accomodating and helpful in setting up some very unique outings. One of my favorite outings was to paddle the house kayak to the next cove over where there is a beautiful secluded white sand beach, “playa blanca”. The live in staff took care of everything from my laundry to cooking dinner, it was a real break from all the stress of everyday life. I can not wait for my next visit to Sleepy Cove.

Perfect base for a perfect vacation

I couldn't belive my luck when we stepped into Sleepy Cove which was a kind of last minute reservation. This place is even better in person than it looks in pictures. Sitting by the pool in the morning, watching the boats in the cove and listening to the sound of the birds was an experience that I may not forget for a very long time. We ended up changing our whole itinerary so we could stay at Sleepy Cove a few more days. The pool, the suites, the living and dining area, the garden, the views, the hosts, everything about this place was perfect. We are a small family but this place's unique design makes it an ideal home for an extended family gathering or close friends traveling together. Olman, the property manager and the live in hosts Vianney and Freddy were most wonderful. We enjoyed Freddy's coffee and Vianney's cooking every morning and most nights. My daughter's Spanish classes came in very handy in Costa Rica. Jim had introduced us to Francisco, a local tour guide before we had even arrived. I ended up dropping car rental idea completely and engaged Francisco for 6 of the seven days we were in Costa Rica. We did our customized tours instead of common combos. He even took us to Arenal for an overnight stay. Very nice guy with good knowledge of the area and fluent English. I had never such a luxorious vacation rental experience before with no worries about either driving or cooking. Thank you Jim for making this happen. You are one of the most gracious vacation rental owner I have come across.

Greatest place I have ever Stayed

Hello My wife and I spent our honeymoon at Sleepy Cove. With breath taking views and friendly people is by far my the most amazing vacation I have ever taken. Viane and Freddy were wonderful and took care of us as soon as we stepped foot on the property. Olman and Fransico were extremely helpful. The views are more spectacular than pictures can do justice and the town of Playa Del Coco was extremely fun/quaint. The tours were great Olman and Fransico helped to set everything up for us including transportation. All in all the most fun we have ever had. Cant wait to visit again and some day retire in the area. Matt & Jamie Walker

What a wonderful place!!

Our stay at Sleepy Cove was magnificent!! The trip to Costa Rica was great but it would have been a completely different trip without Sleepy Cove, Vienne, and Freddy (The live in help)! They are truly delightful people and such wonderful cooks! I wish someone in our group had better Spanish skills because they were such sweet people and I would have loved to have been able to truly express my gratitude. To be able to come back to the villa after a long day of hiking or zip lining and have dinner waiting was such a luxury at such a great price. And the food was better than anything you could have gotten in town!! The only thing this place was missing was a hot tub.. I imagine most of the year it isn't something most people would miss, however we went during the rainy season so it would have been welcomed! We usually have a rule about not traveling to the same place twice, there is just too much to see in this world, but I might have to go back to Costa Rica just to stay at Sleepy Cove again. I will definitely recommend Sleepy Cove to all of my friends. The whole experience has set a new standard on how I will travel in the future! Pura Vida, Sarah & Jon

We had a wonderful time in Costa Rica and Sleepy Cove was awesome. The accomodations were perfect and Vianney and Freddy were terrific. We coordinated our tours through Olman and Chico was our transportation provider and tour guide and made our outings very enjoyable. I would highly recommend renting this property.

The overall vacation was wonderful. Sleepy Cove Villa was so nice and exceeded my expectations. Vianey and Freddie were excellent hosts. The food was fantastic. The rooms were nice and the beds so comfortable. The views are breathtaking. The pool was so refreshing and kept very clean. All 8 of us enjoyed ourselves totally. I would recommend this vacation villa to anybody. Thanks again to Vianey & Freddie for all the special attention as well as Olman who helped us with all of our tours of beautiful Costa Rica.

Wonderful!!!!

We shared this beautiful house with another family of 4, so we were 8 in total. House was perfectly set in the golfing estate of Reserva Conchal. The view from the patio, pool and bedroom balconies were stunning. You could see the sea and the Catalina Islands. The sunsets were too die for!!!!!!. The pool was wonderful and great to have to enjoy the last rays of sunshine after a day on the beach. The house was more than adequately supplied with plenty of cutlery, crockery, towels, linen etc. Dalila looked after us and kept the house spotless. We would not have enjoyed the holiday if she wasn't there to help. Cynthia was also extremely helpful and accommodating and gave us excellent sightseeing and tour advise. The beach club was an absolute treat and bonus to the holiday. All staff were extremely friendly at the club. A great vacation was had by all. We would seriously consider going back in the years to come!!!!!!!

Our group had a fabulous time at Sleepy Cove. Lucia and Raul were very kind and helpful, always greeting us with a smile. Olman is the best! If you need anything, Olman delivers! I loved calling him even for cabs. He answered quickly and whatever we needed was immediately done. He made our trip so easy. Olman rocks! Sleepy Cove is the perfect place for a group. We all had our privacy but enjoyed the main house and pool together. The complex is just beautiful and furnished very comfortably. The kitchen is very functional and has anything you need for preparing a full meal. Of course, Lucia makes a great breakfast--her empanada con queso was quite the hit. We stayed in this "little piece of heaven" in September 2006 and thought we had found paradise. The views are indescribable! The accommodations are first class. The thing that we most liked was the beautiful living areas and the negative edge pool for gatherings, yet the home has separation and privacy in the bedrooms for peaceful resting. Each bedroom villa has it's own living area and seating on it's balcony. The design of the home is wonderful.
There is good shopping and great dining only minutes away from the house, yet you feel like you are all alone on the side of the mountain. We would definitely return to this spot again.

My wife and I have never been away in all of the time we have been married. I could not have selected a better place on earth for our vacation than Sleepy Cove at Playa del Coco.

We experienced surfing in Tamarindo,
zipped through the rain forest on the Monkey Trail, and enjoyed wonderful
lunches and dinners in Coco. Every morning we woke to a wonderful breakfast full of fresh fruit and samplings of the local foods of Costa Rica. Aside from all of the wonderful things to do and foods to eat, we enjoyed the company of the locals. The caretakers of Sleepy Cove, Lucia and Raul, made us feel at
home as if we were part of their family. My wife and I will be returning to
