Description of the Plum Island vacation cottage rental

Vacation on an island! Enjoy the fresh ocean breezes on the deck while listening to the waves. Romantic, very quiet, and private setting; perfect for anyone who wants to get away from it all! Fully furnished 1 bedroom beach house, vaulted ceilings with overhead fans, 2 air conditioners available, (usually the sea breezes keep you very comfortable), dishwasher, washer and dryer, cable TV and internet hookup; fabulous water view from the bay windows. The private deck is perfect for sunbathing, offers great views of the dunes, marshes, and gorgeous sunsets over the Newburyport skyline, a gas grille, and comfortably seats 6 - 8. RATES: August to September 15th, $1100 per week, September 15th - October 17th, $950 per week. Daily rates (3 night minimum), if available, are Mon - Thu $165 per night, Fri - Sun $185 per night. Sleeps 4 or 5. Queen bedroom with slider to the deck. Queen sleep sofa and twin sleep sofa in living room.

The Tidal Basin is less than a 1 minute walk and the beach is a leisurely 7- 8 minute walk. Plum Island is an easy 40 minute drive from historic Boston/Cambridge, and has immediate access to the New Hampshire seacoast, mountains and lakes regions, the Maine coast, and points north and west in New England, and Canada.
The world renowned Parker River National Wildlife Refuge and Wildlife Sanctuary are located on Plum Island for birding, hiking, biking, kayaking, fishing, and casual walks on the beach. Merrimack River cruises and deep sea fishing trips leave from Plum Island daily. Historic Newburyport, a pleasant 2.5 mile drive or bike ride, offers a wide variety of shopping, antiques, a river walk, museums, live theater, cinema, pubs, and fine restaurants featuring fresh local seafood.

*Choose your fresh local seafood at Bob Lobster Restaurant and Fish Market. Tastiest fried clams in the area!
