Summerwind is a comfortable Saltwater-view get-away in the charming seaside village of Pocasset. Within the village is Patuisset Island, an undiscovered corner of 'Olde Cape Cod'. Families and couples enjoy being on 'Island Time', yet are close to all Cape activities. Ride the tandem bike or take a 5 min stroll to a sandy saltwater BEACH.Tandem KAYAK & shellfsh permit included. The compact kitchen with all appliances serves the water view dining area. 2 bedrooms & new bath with shower on second floor. Living room, dining, kitchen, porch and 1/2 bath on first. A sofabed in the living room and a futon on the enclosed front porch add a couple extra spots for a sea-breeze inspired nap. Fire up the gas grill for a BBQ and watch the sunset. This is a lovely, peaceful, safe, seaside neighborhood where the road ends at the harbor. Enjoy 'the Cape' the old-fashioned unhurried way spring, summer and fall.

Patuisset Island is accessible by car and only 1 hour from Boston, 45 min. from Prov. RI and 10 min from the Bourne Bridge. 5 minute walk past a cranberry bog or ride the tandem bike to a Sandy Saltwater BEACH. Biking is a pleasure without the traffic of the lower Cape. Fish from the jetty or dig for clams and quahogs. Beachcomb for sandollars, starfish and seashells. Launch your boat from the ramp at the end of the road or at the public boat ramp by the beach. 15 min. drive to the Martha's Vineyard Ferry for a day trip. Hop aboard a Whale Watch Cruise, Cape Cod Canal tour or Lobster dinner cruise. Golf at nearby 18 hole Brookside Club. Bike, walk or rollerblade the 7 mile Cape Cod Canal trail or the island circle. Kayak out to Bassett's Island for a picnic.Crack a lobster at the famous Chart Room & Lobster Trap.The VERY BEST ICE CREAM at Somerset Creamery. Kids will have a blast at Cartwheels mini-golf, skating, bumper boats and laser tag. Fun, food, fishing... good times for all.
